I Canโt Rave About These Enough!
Where have these containers been all my life?! Seriously, if you are tired of watching your expensive produce wilt, mold, or turn soggy just days after you buy it, you need this set immediately. I had tried every trick in the bookโpaper towels, complicated plastic bags, and even just leaving things in the store packagingโand nothing worked. My cilantro would wilt in three days, and my biggest frustration was always my blueberries. I love blueberries, but they would consistently get fuzzy or mushy by day four. The FreshWorks Miracle After switching to the Rubbermaid FreshWorks containers, my produce life has been completely revolutionized. The proprietary filter lid and elevated tray system actually work as advertised: Blueberries: The ultimate test. I am thrilled to report that my blueberries are finally lasting over a week! They stay firm, plump, and perfect, right down to the last handful. This alone justifies the price of the entire set. Greens: Lettuce, spinach, and that aforementioned tricky cilantro stay crisp and green for far longer than I ever thought possible. No more slimy, brown edges! Strawberries: They used to turn white with mold so fast; now they hold up beautifully. These containers aren't just saving my food; they're saving me money and reducing my food waste dramatically. I canโt rave about these enoughโthey are simple to use, easy to clean, and genuinely extend the life of fresh ingredients. This is a must-have for anyone serious about eating more produce and cutting back on grocery store waste!

Great for produce but I found an additional use
I have used these clever containers for years for my produce and they do an excellent job of extending the storage life of cabbage, radishes, greens, etc. I recently started making sourdough bread regularly and keep it in the freezer since finding out that youโre not supposed to refrigerate bread (I had been doing that for many years and honestly didnโt notice any problems but I guess I should trust the experts). Anyway, I have had a heck of a time finding a storage solution that is freezer safe, roomy enough, no bulky dials on top like the bread boxes Iโve seen, and easy to open and close with no pain-in-the-neck flaps. I have some arthritis in my hands and find those hard, especially after freezing. I had been temporarily keeping it in my Rubbermaid large produce container, but after using it for weeks now, in and out of the freezer daily, I decided to forgo my search and just keep using this, so I bought another set, the two large and one medium. This way I have three of the large for produce and my bread. I solved the air circulation holes problem on the cover by taping wax paper on the inside of it (see pic). It also provides some extra protection in the freezer. I do like the new design of the bottoms that just have raised plastic bubbles instead of the removable plastic piece, although for produce I think the extra piece is better for very moist vegetables, especially greens, so Iโm glad I have the old design as well. Itโs perfect for the bread though. The only reason I am not rating this set five stars is because it has several scratches. I donโt mind the visual aspect, I just worry about the scratched areas being more likely to leech into food touching it. I tried taking some pictures but itโs hard to see so I circled the areas.

Keeps Produce Fresh and Usable for Longer
I'm enrolled in a local farm's weekly produce box subscription where I get freshly picked produce each week. The first week I had to throw stuff away because my storage solutions (bags) weren't good enough. So I invested in these and they've made a huge difference. I have Romaine lettuce from 12 days ago that is still crisp. Strawberries kept longer than if I just put them in the fridge in in another container. I don't wash the produce when I put in in these, I only wash as needed when I use it which is usually the key to keeping produce fresh. I've seen condensation on the edges and bottom of the containers, but not on the produce. The lids fasten securely and feel sturdy. The entire container feels sturdy and of quality. Some people note issues washing the containers due to the nubs on the bottom, but if you soak it in soapy water for a bit, there are no issues cleaning it. The nubs seem to be enough to keep any excess moisture separated from your produce. Now if you wash your produce and don't dry it well enough and put it in these containers, it won't perform as well and the nubs won't be quite enough I don't think. But that's not quite what it's designed for. These are a wonderful addition to my farm fresh produce that I get to keep it much longer. I am impressed and the price wasn't unreasonable for the quality. I highly recommend.

Don't hesitate to buy these.
I use these for strawberries, raspberries, and blueberries. They keep food fresh much longer than any other way I have tried.

Worth it
I shopped for these months ago, but ended up buying the GreenBoxes because they were less expensive. They didnโt work all that well, though, so I decided to buy a set of these, just to see if there was a difference. Boy howdy, was there... my strawberries have lasted for a week and a half without molding, and I didnโt even have them in the produce drawer. (Containers are a bit tall for that.) Blackberries are going on a week so far, and look perfect. I bought the boxes d/t COVID; usually I just buy what I can eat in a few days, but now, Iโve been going every 10-14 days to the store. That means buying more produce at a time, and worrying more about waste. These have been fantastic. I bought another set of bigger and smaller ones, and just ordered a third. Theyโre not cheap, but I do love the fact that they are well made, not thin plastic. They are also good without any expensive replacement filters, unlike a certain pricey rival. These are sturdy, much easier to open than the Green Boxes (which matters when you donโt want to send everything flying across the floor), and wash really easily by hand. The newer kind doesnโt have a little perforated tray; they just changed the design to have a bumpy floor in the container. It works beautifully, and itโs nice not to have to clean the tray, too. But I have both kinds now, and both work well. Considering the amount of delicate produce waste I was seeing before this, theyโre worth it. I can now save $, buy my berries at the warehouse club, and keep them in these long enough to eat them. I can have more than one type of berry or vegetable at a time with these to extend their life. For a single person, thatโs a big deal. Iโm most impressed with how they are for berries, but theyโre pretty good for delicate mixed greens, too. Getting rid of the others, and replacing with these. FYI: each of these strawberry sized boxes holds 16 oz of strawberries perfectly. I buy the 2 lb box, and use 2 containers. For best results, take out the soft/damaged ones; theyโre not going to recover, will just hasten spoilage of others. But the good berries stay good for longer. Love the smaller size (2.5 cup) for 6 oz containers of raspberries, blueberries, or blackberries, even jalapenos or other fresh things that might need to hang out for a while in the fridge.

Design change is not an improvement
I've been using the FreshWorks containers for more than 6 year and love my old ones. The prior design (with a separate insert to lift fruit off the bottom of the container) does an excellent job of allowing air flow and keeping produce up and away from moisture / condensation. Produce, especially berries, stay fresh and mold-free far longer in these containers. I can load up when fruit is on sale, and it's still in great condition 7-10+ days later. I can't say the same for the new version. My old containers are constantly in use so I thought I'd supplement with a few new ones. What a mistake! Instead of an insert, the bottom of the new version of the container now has a bubbled texture, presumably to allow condensation to pool amidst those bubbles, but it's completely ineffective. Unless you open the container every day or two and wipe out the condensation, your produce comes in contact with that moisture and turns mushy or starts to mold. Additionally, there's a slight size change so the lids aren't quite interchangeable between the new and old versions. The design change is extremely disappointing. Unless you can find some of the old style on eBay, don't waste your money. The new design isn't worth it.

Exactly as described
I had been searching for these ever since the locally made version ceased production. They really do work to keep soft fruit and veg for longer. My only other comment is I wish they gave the actual dimensions of the containers as well as the volume capacity so I could decide if they'd fit in the fridge.

I love it
Product does what it says and keeps things fresh. I also like the after sale care they offer. They not just selling a good product but they also care if the client is happy with it. They contacted me and showed real interest. I might buy more.

The modern replacement for Tupperware?
Wanted a tupperware lettuce crisper for the fridge, but could not find one, these rubbermaid boxes came from the USA, nice and easy as well as being quick from Amazon. They do what I wanted and keep my lettuces crisper for longer in the fridge also works for soft fruit and I am very happy with them. They are quite bulky, but then, so is a lettuce, so not an issue for me.
