This Strop Helps Me Keep My Sharp Tools Sharp
This strop works pretty good. I only use it on pretty sharp knives and tools to keep them as such.I like this one better then my belt strop. This strop seems like good quality. It allows me to grasp the strop, instead of pulling it from a chain to obtain flatness. This way I get better sharpness on my different leather crafting implements and less accidents.I’m a beginner, but I have made a few things with my tools already. This strop has helped me keep things sharp.

Well Made
This is a fairly small strop, but it's the first one I've purchased. It works great for certain cutlery, but if I had the chance to buy a different strop before this one I would have. The dual sides compensate for the size somewhat, but for any blade over 4" I'd use a larger barber-style strop. For kitchen cutlery I tend to use the knife steel we own to get rid of any burrs post-sharpening, but I use this small strop for all my pocket knives. The softer side of the leather and the strop holds buffing compound very well, and this strop does let me get my bevels to a mirror finish.Great product from a producer of fine leather products.

Great for smaller knifes
This is a nice little two sided strop,I put the green courser compound on the rougher side and the white finer compound on the smooth side. This works really well for getting my smaller knifes very sharp. The only reason I did not give it five stars is wood is thin that can make it awkward to use, and it is too small to easily polish larger knifes. You can still do it but it would take longer. There are better strops out there, but they will cost a lot more than this one does. I got this one on Amazon for under $15.

Should have ordered the bigger model but this works well.
The strop itself is alright however in hindsight I should have purchased a larger one. This strop is too small for larger knives without some difficulty. I use this as final step after sharpening on Japanese waterstones and for an 8 inch chefs knife, it can be a bit challenging. Does it work, yes but it would be much easier if it was longer.

Nice
Excellent little leather strop. I use this for putting the last refinement on my kitchen knives. Gets them razor sharp and slicing soft tomatoes like a dream. Fits nicely in a kitchen drawer. Would buy again

Small little strop (really), but it works perfect for me
I've finished up everything from my Balisongs to my recurves to even my large convex camping knives. This strop works fantastically and very well crafted with good wood and really good quality leather. The rough side takes compounds perfectly and cleans up even easier, the smooth side will get you a mirror edge if you have enough time to put in to it.Reason I purchased this strop over others on Amazon for similar prices was the fact that the materials were far superior for the price. It'll do the job but if you need it for large blades, I'd recommend getting a larger strop.

Most importanat tool for a sharp edge.
This is the cheapest simplest tool to get a razor edge on most any blade. Members of my hunt club have sent their knives to me for sharpening and in many cases all I did was strop them on this tool. They are impressed with the results (I haven't told them my secret)

Not worth the money
It is the perfect size for what I need but the leather on it is crap. Within the first two uses the leather started to tear up, even with compound on it. It also doesn't hold the compound on very well. I modify knives and use the lansky sharpening system so the burrs are minimal and shouldn't be causing this. I have a cheap homemade strop that work great, I just needed something bigger.
