Good selection of sharp needles, quality snips and surprisingly useful finger cots, which are a bit stiff but soon settle on (you may find them a bit small if you have sturdy digits). The "thimble" is the only item that doesn't live up the the quality of the rest, but I have decent sewing thimbles anyway. It is, at least, adjustable. Unexpected bonus is the wooden needle case, which has a really attractive finish, with lovely wood grain and a precision screw thread. I just mended a pair of sheepskin boots, using a combination of the curved and straight needles. If I could suggest an improvement to the kit, it would be to include an awl with a fat handle: the straight needles do this job well, but are a bit hard to grip. The whole lot comes in a neat plastic case. Very good value.

What a superb set! The needles are the best I have ever bought, very sharp and smooth. Snips are useful, I did not even know I was getting these, thimble and finger stalls too, bit small for me, but who cares! The beautifully turned wood and brass container is superb too.I am very very satisfied with everything that arrived.

kept the 3 best needles, threw the rest away as they had small eyes and many were blunt. the 3 worth keeping were all identical, would have been nice to have additional sizes of needle with sharp tip and big eye. bought a big pack for a reason, ended up with only 1 type that's any good. but it wasn't too expensive. the container is decent although the needles barely fit in it, they are always stabbing the inside of the cap. the thimble thing is sharp and dangerous to use if not very careful, and could be bigger. the scissors were nice but don't fold up safely, they stay stuck open dangerously. the two leather thumb glove things - one barely fits my index finger while the other doesn't even fit my pinky, and i don't have big hands. in summary, it's a weird little kit with some useful bits worth keeping and some dangerous aspects that need to be used carefully if at all, and a lot of junk too. fair enough for the price i guess - can't expect much better from a random amazon seller of a product that has all kinds of variations from all kinds of sellers on amazon - like a lot of cheap chinese made stuff does.
