How accurate is the temperature gauge?

We have found a 4 degree difference: if we set it at 74, it will cool to 70.

I'm looking for an HVAC thermostat. Wondering if this was one as I don't see the term "HVAC" anywhere on here. I have electric heat and central air.

This thermostat provides electronic control of 24VAC heating and cooling systems. You can see in the picture the switches for heat/cool and fan/auto. That's pretty much the definition of HVAC. It's a four-wire and if you see four on your old system to can be extra sure of no problems.

Can this thermometer be used for heat only via the wires are hooked in? Also, when the battery dies, does one just throw the thermostat away?

Can i use this on a 5th wheel hv 12v ac 110?
