Unlike similar vests, this one goes over the shoulder as well as the upper arm, offering greater support and better flotation. It also prevents the sleeves from sliding down the arm. One great feature, which you can see in my video, is the clasp has a double lock. You must squeeze the clasp with two fingers and release the safety button with your other hand. My son is 10 years old and has special needs. He weighs 52 lbs. The other brands only go up to 50 lbs. and are too tight on him. This one is great because it goes up to 60 pounds and it fits him! We have to hold him in the pool as he cannot swim independently but this helps us to hold onto him and keep him afloat. So happy I found this brand that is larger for bigger kids!!

The media could not be loaded.  Needed a puddle jumper asap because my 2 year old wants to be like his big brother and doesn’t always want to wear his inter-tube anymore. I have always prefered the ones with the tabk top because they cant just slip out of the floaties on there own. This can be the case with the other kind and can be dangerous.This one also has a child proof clip that makes it near impossible the could clip off on their own (or could pop open)Luckily the fabric is not cheap and shiny but seems thick and well stitched so has a great value and we wont have to replace within a few months time. We are starting swim lessons next week so I want him to have this on when its just me and them in the pool as soon as he learns to float veryically. They are lifesavers for parents

Really had high hopes for this vest. I liked how the arm bands were attached. Ny son is 2 and 30lbs. This vest is too big and he's a big kid for his age. It did help my kid float but you do need to be right by their side because they will flip forward or backward. The shoulder straps kept sliding down when out of water and the arm floats were around his wrists. I don't know what size this is actually appropriate for but it's not 30lbs.

She didn't mind it, felt secure and comfortable in the water, with the adjustable fit it should last for a year or two))

The shoulder straps and shoulders should have a way to adjust for the younger child. The arm floats were down on the forearm because the strap is at a set length. See picture. It kept him afloat, but was always supervised

It fits GREAT AND it kept my daughter upright in water. I used this to help teach her to swim. She was quickly happy and not afraid in the water. She is small, only 26 lbs and 3 years old. Regular life jackets start at 30 lbs or they are made for babies. This worked perfectly for us!

Very cute, and something that is definitely NEEDED for any child, but especially very young children (there are so many drownings and other water safety issues because parents think a child doesn't need these). Anyway, it's super cute, the one I chose I'd blue with a dolphin on it. It also comes with a black drawstring bag for storage.
