Beautiful pot that cooks nicely

This is a very expensive stew pot, and it definitely shows in the finish. It is luxurious in every way, if you can consider a cooking implement luxurious. The workmanship is impeccable and it is extremely heavy because of the thick bottom with enclosed aluminum that ensures even browning. It is sleek and pretty to look at, with its clear glass lid and smooth lines. The remarkable thing about it and the other pots in the series is that the handle/handles detach from the pot, so storing is very easy. If you had a big set of these (I wish!) they would all nest together and store in a very small space.It comes with glass lid and two handles--one is a long one suitable for using while cooking, and the other is actually a set of two short handles which are very elegant and beautiful, suitable for serving right from the pot at the table. The long handle attaches to the pot or the lid, and it attaches and detaches easily, quickly, and securely.Everything about this pot is perfectly executed. It heats up beautifully and evenly for nice browning, and then looks great sitting on the table as a serving vessel. I have not heard of this French company before, but I'm now longing to replace all my pans with these--the idea of all of them fitting into a fraction of the space I use now is inviting, but mainly, I admire the looks and performance.
