Gerhard Richter: Forty Years Of Painting

This product is just ok, Good read but I was expecting to view more of his work from. Such a thick book but mostly letters and story. Maybe I am just so visual and I love to see colors.

Richter's work is presently on display at the High Museum in Atlanta. My husband and I enjoyed the pieces displayed there and through the museum located this book. The representations are accurate. The work itself is arresting and the colors are magnificent. In the book the artist discusses his technique and educates the reader. The book is now a permanent addition to our book shelf as both a tool for my artist husband and as a book of gorgeous, stunning paintings for both of us to enjoy.

My favorite German expressionist painter, the image quality is pretty nice, as well as the assortment of paintings they display of his.

Sadly, this book did not stand out for me. Many images but not as clear as the more recent books.

Unbelievable book. Wonderful reproductions of the brilliant Gerhard Richter's work and wonderful words by the brilliant Robert Storr. The interview in the back between the two is my favorite. This is the definitive book on Gerhard Richter. I would recommend it to anyone. This book generally retails in museum stores for $85, by the way.

It's big. It's heavy. Our toddler loves standing on it when he wants to feel taller. I bought this as a gift for my painter wife one Christmas and she looked at it that day and then promptly shelved it for the next few years. Baby found it this year and pulls it down quite a bit. Win?

This book is great to the the Richter lover who don't have posibility to buy a raissone. Articles are very smart and sharp.

the book that i got is pretty beat up, but i got it at what i would consider a fair price.
