God Bless you Farrah Fawcett for this masterpiece
This film is ingenious work of Farrah Fawcett and she let's it all, I mean all all roll on this DVD. Darn hard to watch and unbelievable how daring she was in making this film to tell - "the truth, the whole truth, and nothing bu the truth so help her God". she needed God's help in this film as the character she plays and honestly I don't want to say nothin' about the content only that I wish every lady, girl, woman and young to all age guys saw this one. Wow. It's serious work and it's amazing how unedited it is so that it has a life-like quality about it. Rape crisis centers should also have this so that no woman feels ever ever "it's her fault" this film wipes that possibility quickly off the blackboard! Fasten your seatbelts and plan on not ever beint able to forget this film. May you rest in peace Farrah and we all love you now like we loved you before, aint nobody anywhere near taken your place. You're fearless! :-)

A very dramatic, tense, thriller!
Good bye Charlie's Angel, hello serious dramatic actress! Wow, I was surprised when I watched this because quite frankly, I didn't think Farrah Fawcett could act this well. This dramatic movie will captivate and move you, especially if you are a woman. The actor who played the make lead also did a fantastic job as the bad guy. Watch her turn the tables on him like you can't believe! This movie will keep you guessing what will happen next and I highly recommend it!

Soft Porn
Typical of the time and persists till today. A good movie to bring to light the delicacy of proof and the he said she said conundrum. We feel for the predicament of the main character and the dilemma of the three roommates who grapple with laws imperfect in so many ways, we get that. So why over and hour of titillation with Farrah in a sleek negligee, close shot camera views of her twisting and contorting so we can see as much as possible for the movie rating. Sometimes you can judge the tone of the rest of the movie by the opening shower scenes. Thus, there is a tug of war between enlightening women as to the danger of being at home alone and the indifference of the laws to protect them, and a generous time of eye candy for the like minded men and those who are waiting to be excited enough to turn bad,

Spoiler Not Satisfying At All
The movie tries to humanize the rapist. There is a point people sometimes cross that makes them less than human and not fit for society. We can either choose to lock them away like an animal for life in order to protect society at great expense. Nobody should ever have to live next to a serial rapist even if that is in their past. people don't change. Her roommates inability to understand the situation and side with the actual victim is inexcusable. Women like those just pass him on to the next girl. Farah knew what to do. I wish every would be victim was or had a Farah around!

Great movie!
I love Farrah Fawcett and her acting was awesome. It was sad to watch again after all these years, knowing she died. She is surely missed. The movie itself was great! It is terrible that these sorts of things happen. Worth watching! At the beginning, it should alert women to how easy it is for a predator to be watching and how quickly an innocent situation can turn vicious or deadly even. Farrah, you were/are beautiful!

Great film!
Stellar performances by all esply Farrah and Russo who performed this on stage with Russo. Pat, Diana Scarwid, plays such a coward as does the great Alfre Woodward for all her logic. If I came home to my roommate who had had an attempted rape and a threat to her life I would not have been so 'compassionate'toward this 'animal' and would have been glad to help kill him with Marjorie. But Marjorie got her confession along with the names of other victims and so it ends lawfully. Highly recommend.

Shocking Film Not for the Feint of Heart
The subject of this film is a delicate one - the terrorization of a young woman by an attempted rapist, and her reaction to it. I could hardly say that I loved it, but that said, it's an extraordinary film, well-made and developed. Farrah Fawcett reprised her role from the stage production and did a brilliant job. The story is frightful, harrowing, and true to life when studying those who must control others, and wield such personal power as did the attacker in this film. DON'T let anyone under 18 watch this movie, and even then, think about the maturity of the person, and watch it with him/her, having explained ahead of time that what they are about to see is deviant behavior, and unacceptable. The film speaks for itself.

Suspensful and well-acted
This is a favorite film of mine and it showcases Farrah Fawcett's dramatic talents. Based on the play, the story involves a rapist-murderer who stalks Marjorie (Fawcett) and her two roommates in their secluded house outside the city where Joe, the attacker, fumbled his first attempt. There are scenes of calm, as Marjorie goes about her day, feeding fish, gardening, reading in the sun. Her day turns into one of terror when Joe enters and physically and psychologically tortures her for hours until the roommates return.By then, Marjorie has overpowered Joe,locked him in a makeshift cage and contemplates killing him. She repeats some of the torture he inflicted on her, and then must make a decision about his fate. This is a suspenseful and well-acted classic.

“Tell me……” [Joe]
This 1986 violent drama begins with a young woman, Marjorie[Farrah Fawcett], being abducted at knifepoint and forced to drive to a secluded spot where she manages to escape from her masked would be rapist. The police basically say they cannot do anything –even if they caught the guy. A month later and the rapist Joe [James Russo] returns to her home after her two female house mates have left for the day. Will he manage to succeed this time or will she once more manage to escape or even turn the tables on him, or will the friends return to save the day or just further complicate matters? This film is one of those anti rape movies that seemed to spring up in the early–mid 80’s and is upsetting in its bleak portrayal as it twists and pummels ones emotions. It is a rare film about control and submission that manages to put you simultaneously into both the minds of the rapist and the victim. Based on a stage play, the bulk of the film takes place within two rooms in the small house and features only 4 people, yet manages to maintain its grip. The first hour is very intense and disturbing and ‘feels’ very real, but the last half hour is a compromise of morals and legality that ultimately fails as being unrealistic [lose a *].The disc offers few special features being language selections, subtitles and hard of hearing choices. Despite the subject there is little nudity, [head and shoulders shower scene, a side on nipple shot and out of focus dressing up scene] so avoids the smut of many other movies. The violence is all to real, being both physical and verbal, whilst the soundtrack works well in reinforcing the emotions portrayed. Very 80’s in style, clothing and musical flavour, it’s a must see, **** rating.

I enjoy the main actress in many films and she delivers in this movie also . But low budget doesn't excuse such a poor storyline , even though it's great to see the woman act strong and win.. the ending is so poor and I really don't see how it gains 4-5 star ratings in comparison to other top true movie/ 80s films.

Farrah's greatest performance in the movies.
The screen adaptation of off Broadway play Extremities is a powerful film starring Farrah Fawcett and James Russo. I remember watching this movie in the theatre back in 1986 when it was originally released and how astonished I was by Farrah's work; she was a very good actress and the 80's presented us with some of her best performances, like Margareth Bourke White, Nazy Hunter, Between two women and Small Sacrifices .. now that she's gone it would be nice to have them available on DVD.

This is the movie that farrah fawcett managed to break away from the bimbo/glossy type roles she became known for!trying to prove she could act,she finally proved it here! She did the stage play, first got noticed in `the burning bed` and followed with this!Probably the only film, she proved herself, she holds her own with a stella supporting cast and thank goodness she was better than`sunburn`!
