Worked better than expected
Worked better than expected. I will a little skeptical after reading some other reviews. We followed instructions and magnets are holding well.

Disappointed
I was very excited about trying this so I could “hang” frames and decor on my walls instead of putting holes in my walls. But the magnetization is Very weak! I went a little crazy In my application at first, because I wanted to use it all over the house. And despite I mixed it well, it didn’t go very far. It’s very thick. And once I read the directions, it stated needing 3-6 coats. I was able to finish the areas I highly desired with 3 coats, and I had a strong magnet to try on it, but it barely held, let alone a frame or even a piece of paper. So I tried another can, so I could make my 6 coats, and I don’t notice a difference from when I only had 3 coats. I even proceeded to order their magnets to try on their paint, just in hopes, maybe that’s what I was missing. But still no different. In fact, I have yet to paint over it, which I’m dreading, because they called it grey, but it came out to be black once I used it, and I’m sure 1 coat of latex paint is not going to cover it, along with the fact, I can’t help to think painting over it will only weaken what little magnetization there is…$50 down the drain, just on the magnetize it paint, let alone the magnets and extra latex paint in order to paint over it.

More than 1 can needed.
This product was not what I expected. The paint has the consistency of pudding, making it difficult to spread. The wall space painted is 55” x 80”. One 32oz can was barely enough for 1 coat. I ordered grey anticipating the paint would be grey not black. The paint itself is gritty, making surfaces rough. Make sure you cover/tape off any surface you don’t want to sand after like trim and baseboards.I am disappointed with the produce description also. No where in the description does it say how many coats are needed or recommended for desired magnetic effect. Nor does it mention how many top coats can be added before it looses magnetization. As you can see in the picture the magnetic paint is black, not grey, painted over a lighter color. The idea was to create a magnetic wall for my teen’s room with the lighter color as the top coat.

Works Ok, not Grey
I bought this primer so I could hang magnets on a utility cabinet in my kitchen. The kitchen is mostly white with some light grey accents. When I bought the primer it came in 3 colors - black, dark grey, and grey. I bought grey hoping it would look better in my kitchen. However this primer was definitely black. Because of that, I ended up having to paint over the primer with several coats of a grey paint. Not sure why they would sell 3 colors of they're all black anyway??Painting was a bit of a challenge. The primer was VERY thick and splattered pretty badly when using the roller. However with proper prep that wouldn't be as bad. I should have put more cover on my floors so I didn't have to clean as much primer from the flooring. It works OK. Based on other comments, I put on 4 coats of primer. It's not the strongest surface ever and I do worry about some of the magnets staying put. But it does work. The only type of magnet I couldn't get to stick were the ones that were more "rubbery". I added a picture as an example. And I had a few with weaker magnets that wouldn't stick either.

Works as expected if you follow the instructions
Paint is very thick. Multiple coats needed. Suggest the finest grit sandpaper between coats. Smells a bit weird but it's fine. Works fantastically does exactly as advertised.

Eh
I mixed it forever and it’s THICK. It doesn’t coat evenly so there is a lot of variation in the magnetic power.

Amazing
This paint worked great! I really am not sure how many coats I did but it was somewhere between 3-6. This is strong enough to hold all of our magnets (I was worried when I was testing inbetween coats because it didn’t seem like it was holding well but after it dried it has held even the heavy ones without sliding). I only used about half of the can…I will be using this on many other projects now. Also, the paint is very thick which was actually beneficial because it didn’t sling off and make a mess at all 😃 I’m so happy that I bought this!

Nice product.
The media could not be loaded. The product is clumpy, I assume because it is attracted to itself. The consistency reminds me of cold chocolate pudding. So you must have patience when applying this, or you'll waste product. I applied 3 thin coats, and then normal paint on top of that. I did not wait between coats because each layer was dry by the time I started over, since I used thin coats. I would have done more coats, but the can is SMALL. Hence, I only painted the center third of my child's wall. It will not hold anything heavy, but it does work with small magnets, kids play magnets, and earth magnets. If I ever get more patience and more money to spare, I'd buy again and make up another use for it.
