This was a Confirmation gift for my grandaughter which was just given to her. She hasn't had a chance to use it but was very happy when she received it. It is a beautiful pen.

This is really a beautiful pen. I purchased the walnut colored one it does look slightly better in the pictures than in real life, but that could just be the wood I chose.I have a Lamy Safari, which is similarly priced. it was my first fountain pen I've ever used and I love it, which is why I began my search for a more ascetic pen. I found this and saw the good reviews, and again...it is a gorgeous pen.However, it doesn't write nearly as well as I expected it to. I find it skips fairly frequently. Not to mention its not nearly as smooth. For a medium nib theres defintely scratching that other pens simply don't have. I've used three different paper types, one of which is a cotton based Journaling paper, the other was printer paper, and lastly I used cardstock. I wanted to be sure it wasn't because of the material I was writing on. I've also adjusted the angle several times, and have yet to find the consistent sweet spot.All in all, if you want to get this for decoration then I highly recommend it. If you plan to write with this daily, then there's defintely better options out there within the same price point. Its a shame really, this pen is very beautiful.Updated review: I contacted the company and they sent me another pen. This company has excellent costumer service. I mean above and beyond. So I'm changing the review to a 3 star. The reason being, the new pen doesn't write much better than the old one. It is still scratchy to write with, although it doesn't skip like the last one did. In a fountain pen, scratchy isn't what you're looking for. But it is a gorgeous pen, plus the company has awesome customer support. The price is low compared to other fountain pens, but if you're looking for quality writing this pen isn't the one. If you want a beautiful pen to sit on your desk that comes In a cool case, and you probably won't write with too much,, this is the one.

Most fountain pens have room in the barrel for an extra ink cartridge this one does not. Which means you cannot travel with it. Also it did not tell you the ink cartridge size. It does look nice

Bought this to reduce waste and have a nice pen... Product was good while it lasted, but after ~8 months, in the middle of a meeting, I went to open the pen and jot down some notes but the pen split in half (I guess the flimsy plastic grip couldn't handle repeated opening/closing), got ink all over the place, and ruined like $100 of my brand new dress clothes.
