PETZL - AVAO BOD International Version, Comfortable Harness for Fall Arrest, Size 1

Excellent product

I purchased this product on the 17th of March for use in indoor and outdoor arena rigging where positioning is sometimes required. Suffice to say in less than 6 months of use this product has already began showing signs of rust, in an area inaccessible without mutilating the harness so it is uncleanable. This product is the single most expensive item I have bought for my job and it is the only item that has shown visible rusting in the time I've worked with it. I now need to retire this harness because I cannot clean the rust off of this section of the harness and thus cannot trust it to hold me while positioning or in the event of a fall. I expect better from Petzl. I hope to see a return from the company.

The Avao definitely gets a bad wrap for comfort. That said, I have been using one for several years now and once you get the right size and learn how to adjust it they are actually pretty dang good. I have literally hung for hours in my Avao with minor discomfort.
