Not that the holes in its mica top cover must be elongated. A very small Dremmel bit, a very small file, or possibly an X-Acto knife should also work. To save energy in my table lamps, I replaced their sockets (both 1-way and 3-way) with the B0BMM3KYXB "B&P Lamp® Full Range Dimmer Socket Interior with Ivory Knob". They fit all my lamps (the most common type) and work perfectly, but they don't fit *all* lamp types, so check its reviews. Now all my lamps are even than 3-way lamps. Except my 3-way bulbs went brighter (120W and 150W), so I ordered some 150W GY6.35 bulbs, Norman Lamps JCD150-130V (not arrived yet). Review: Great Product and value - Works as expected! Ignore the negative reviews. It gets hot real fast and melted my light. Yes it will get hot its an 100 watt halogen lamp and if you put it in something not meant for it and it melts it is your fault.
