Good for studio/music production
I have been using the product for more than 3 years now. Although it feels pricey, but it's worth it. The sound quality is very good. Faced no issues till now. The headphone is comfortable for long durations. I use it mainly for playing piano so that no one gets disturbed. The cable length is very long so it's very good for studio or music production but difficult to manage the length of the cable in case you want to use it for phone.

Fantastic Unit for the price
Yamaha knows it's business too well and I am very in awe of this headphone.. Nice balanced sound with good low and high ends and and impressive mids.. Great buy..

Good finish as per YAMAHA standards
Original MRP on the box is Rs 8900/- not Rs 20,000/- + as advertised on Amazon. Folks with slightly larger ears may find these uncomfortable due to standard cup size.Sounded better than the Bose and JBL headsets I currently use. Excellent bass at low levels which is good - the equalizer on the PC allowed all frequencies to be heard clearly.For the YAMAHA electric piano this is just perfect if you need headphones for practice. Every note rendered correctly - was bought for that very reason.The electric guitar too sounded very good. All in all good buy for now đź‘Ť. Let's see this 6 months later

A bit heavy but great sound at this price
Sound quality is great and wire is too long. Seems like best suited for music professionals

Yamaha MT5 rocks

Good headphones but not the detachable cable
The detachable cable is a welcome thing but they have the non standard mini TRS at the headphone end, the cable is rarely available.The standard 1/8" TRS on both ends would have been versatile.

Disappointed!!
At first I recieved a used product, I got it replaced and now after replacement the carrying bag which comes along with the headphones is not there.Amazon this is not expected at all.
