Q: Can you wear it as crossbody?

Oh I've not thought of using it that way. Just went and tried it and you can technically wear it as cross body but not sure if it looks right but that could just be my taste. 😁

Q: Will it fit a pair of trainers?

Yes if they're not too big and you don't have much else in the bag! I often carry an A4 exercise book, my iPad, a compact umbrella, a bottle of water, and other sundries in the inside pocket and there's space to spare.
