Not the same as a ty-rite
Its good but just not in the class of the ty-rite for a couple of bucks more. I do a slight modify job on both using a standard metal washer it keeps my fingers from sliding.

Makes having fat fingers not a problem
For tying small hooks this tool is a must. Would not like going fishing without it.
