ASURION3 Year Housewares Protection Plan ($300 - $349.99)

I wound up with a defective portable a/c. The protection plan took care of it quickly and easily. I got my gift card the same day I notified them of the defects.

The media could not be loaded. I purchased a refurbished portable air conditioner at a great price from a local store. Once home I found out the warranty (not from the original manufacturer) was only 30 days, so I looked at the various Asurion protection plans, and found one that fit the product and price range and purchased it, keeping the email and a photo of the original receipt for the AC unit.Thirty four days later, in the middle of our HVAC replacement project, and 4 days after the warranty expired, the refurbished AC unit quit, showing the error code EH03 -- which is a problem with the inside fan motor.The local store's policy is for 30 day returns, but not even then if the item is used. So, I called Asurion since the product covered was not purchased through Amazon, and started the claim process. Well, it all worked! I had the protection plan receipt, the photo of the purchase receipt, I took pictures of the AC unit and the error code, and answered their questions. The next day I had an email that they had sent an Amazon gift card for me to add to my Amazon account, and it was for the full purchase price of the refurbished AC unit (less taxes).This turned out to be an excellent decision on my part to buy a protection plan for my purchase.

Glad I bought this policy! My AC unit got some rain damage from severe weather and the digital temperature gauge stopped working after one year. I filed a claim and instantly got a refund so that I could replace the unit with a new one ASAP.

This product protection insurance is simply GREAT! I really recommend it for those electrical devices that they may fail for whatever reason. I bought a portable air conditioning and it worked ok for almost two years and one day all of the sudden it stopped working. I called their claim number and followed some simple directions and answered like two or three questions and they refunded my money... I mean every single penny I paid for this air conditioning. I bought a new one and guess what? I bought a protection plan for my new product. Don't take any chances... right now I am enjoying a new air conditioning thanks to this protection plan... it is worth it.
