It worked
I bought a Hi-Spec drill set last year, and the charger shorted out one day, because I accidentally put the battery in backwards. I was about to buy a black and Decker drill set from Amazon, but I had this charger on my product list too, but was reluctant to buy it, because so many of the ratings were so negative on it. I grudgingly bought it, and I'm glad I did, because it's a perfect fit for the battery for the Hi-Spec drill. It's a tighter fit than the one that came with the drill...it snaps in place only in one direction, so there's absolutely no way to put the battery in backwards like you can with the battery charger that came with the drill. It took 4-5 hours to charge the battery from completely drained, to fully charged, which allowed me to watch some 4k Blu Ray movies while it charged. Once I noticed that the blinking green light was steady, I took the battery out, put it in the drill, and it was good to go. So in closing, it definitely works with a 18v battery in a Hi-Spec drill... I can vouch for that. I guess it might work with some other 18 volt drill batteries, but I can't say, since I wouldn't know for sure.

So glad to have found this!
I had a hard time finding this particular charger, and I did! It works well, although a bit slow.

Used for 1.5 yrs. Better than Original for Hbr Frght Chicago 91396 Drill
This is 15+ yr old Harbor Freight drill with replaced battery 66965 (orange). It charges in 5 to 6 hrs (same as original). Not sure but it seems to stop charging when fully charged. The original would keep charging and damage your batteries.

Returning, does not work.
Does not work. The transformer and cord appear to be ok, as there is power at the fitting that goes into the base. When plugged into the charger base there is no charge at the contacts so it appears that the base is bad.

Battery charger
Was so grateful to find this charger at a reasonable price. I searched and searched. Now my hand drill is back in business. Thanks

Charges fast
It's great, I was able to charge my drill battery in no time and was able to use my drill the same day for projects I needed to put on hold. I highly recommend.

Wrong size
It did not work on the battery size that I requested.

Not quite right
The battery charger was to replace the one my father inadvertently threw out. Why he did that is beyond anyone's understanding. Sadly, it was not the correct charger and I had to return it. The return was very easy.
