Photochromic Sunglasses

Meets and exceeds expectations. I find the tint perfect for riding trails with varying light and coverage is fantastic.

Large field of view , clear and light. Not so tight that it hurts and not too loose to keep slipping down on my 7 1/4 head. Worn over helmet straps . Originally bought for those overcast days or early morning into sunrise days for commuting . Pleasantly surprised ,can be used for full sun as well . Now only carry this pair for all weather. Big plus is the large frame , it no longer blocks my view with head tilted on the road bike . Of course they don’t look as good for double duty off the bike . Great price , good coverage. Only bit of discomfort at top of ear after long ride , as they stay put so you don’t have to keep adjusting them , so after three hours they “dig in” a little . As I say not a big problem at all . I like the glasses and wear them for mountain biking occasionally. They are perfect for trails that occasionally run through the forest (dark areas). They're basically clears that will tint 'slightly' when in direct sunlight. These are NOT sunglasses and they do NOT get dark. As long as you know that, then they WILL block the wind and WILL slightly tint to reduce glare. They're great at keeping wind, dirt, and occasional sun glare out of my eyes... so I rate them at 4 stars.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: I should have gotten these a long time ago. Tried them out today and found they were very comfortable. Except for needing glasses, the view was crystal clear with no air coming in to make my eyes water. Even without prescription I was able to see my smart watch and GoPro camera. I see no reason these won't work well on my quad.

I have been looking for new mountain biking sunglasses for awhile but not having much luck. I am asian with a low nose bridge so it's hard to find sunglasses that sit right. I previously ordered some Smiths but they were too big and slid down. I didn't really want to spend $$$ on Oakleys either. I have been using my Goodrs but they seem a tad dark at times and sometimes reflections on the lenses get distracting. So I decided to try these - I liked the idea of having one pair that would adjust to different light levels, since when I am out riding, I can be in full sun one minute and then in the trees. And for the price - well, it was worth a shot right? I tried them out yesterday on a trail ride and I like them. The sunglasses were dark enough in the sun where I wasn't squinting, and I had no issues at all in the trees. Best of all, I could get the sunglasses to sit where they were supposed to with the adjustable nosepiece. I call it a win...and for a great price. Plus if I break them I won't be too sad because they did not cost a fortune.

I like these sunglasses but realize now I prefer the rimless lenses. As an older rider I'm not able to turn my head around as I used to and the rims on these lenses block my sight. It just a personal preference as these are otherwise good sunglasses. They fit well and the photochromatic lenses do block the glare. They seem durable though I still wear another pair more often.

They don't seem to get very dark.

O modelo recebido foi um pouco diferente do mostrado nas fotos, mas com o mesmo funcionamento fotocromático anunciado. E o melhor, ainda mais barato que muitos óculos tradicionais onde é necessário trocar a lente. Agora é possível começar a pedalar à tarde com sol forte e retornar à noite, sem ter que parar para trocar lentes e sem correr risco de não enxergar nada em ambientes mais escuros. Em luz forte, é possível ficar com os olhos bem descansados. No escuro, é como se não estivesse usando óculos. Recomendo demais para quem pedala em diferentes condições de luz ao longo do dia.

Got this because of the opti clip where I can put my prescription lenses. Works for me! Although I noticed the clips got cracked/ degrade after alot of removal. You have to clean it ofcourse! Might break in a few months. We'll see.. overall good product. You can use in the evening or sunny afternoon rides.
