Big Bike Parts Waterproof Sound System Complete with Speakers

This is a good system for the money

Why is it motorcycle accessories have to cost a (H)undred (D)ollars for a bit of chrome and such? I have been looking for a sound system for the wife's bike that sound good but wasn't going to break the bank. I had heard good things about the Big Bike system and they were correct. Good sounds at great price. The only minus is the mounting parts: plastic for the handlebars and flimsy metal for mirror mounts. The auto power is a cool feature. Mounting this on a Sportster (or any small cruiser) was difficult, but not impossible. Wife says it has good sound in the high and mid ranges, but lacks bass (but that's expected in small speakers). We will see how the hold up and let you know. UPDATE: Strange... I posted our intial review on the 17th as I usually like to wait a week or two to see how things work. On the next day (18 January) the weather was nice enough we were going to take a ride. As we were getting ready to pull out, the sound system would not work: it powered on, but no sound at all. Checked everything we could, but still not working. Let's see how the return policy is? We just want to exchange for another one.

Great little sound systems can be heard over Vance Hines pipes at 75 no problem would recommend to anyone . Getting ready for 1200 mile road trip will let you know how we'll they work!

Very easy install, love the volume control and amp auto shutoff. But here is why it gets 3 stars. If you do not have room under seat the amp can be a problem to mount. I have the amp attached to bracket and zip tied to handle bar, but if I turn to far to the left it hits gas tank. Volume does not get loud enough. Some of my songs are downloaded from an actual record and they play just fine thru the Harmon kardon on my Electraglide but on softail with python pipes it can barely be heard and that is around town less than 50 mph. Will eventually remove and buy the uniq audio or harley boom.

Great addition to my bike. I especially like the volume knob. It makes it very easy to adjust. It does get to the point where at highway speeds you can't hear what is playing unless it is a "loud" song. I just wanted to update my review. One of the speakers stopped working and I contacted Big Bike Parts for a replacement. There is a 1 year warranty. I was less than a week from the 1 year mark. The company replaced my speaker and did it quickly. I was very impressed. It took less than a week for me to ship the bad speaker to them and for them to ship the new speaker to me. EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Shipped quickly. Price was great. 40W power is a little low. Have trouble hearing it at highway speeds at time. Very easy to install. Mirror mounts vibrate a lot.

Got it, installed it a bit later, only one speaker worked. Return window/warranty window is extremely small. Stay away. Update: Eventually got through to the manufacture and they did replace the faulty speaker. It was an adventure.
