Small and easy to use

Great for the price.

Light and strong enough for purpose. Would have liked to solder on a made-off plug directly into the unit but it isn't possible to access the switch and negative terminal as the enclosure is glued. Had to splice into the lead and insulate with shrink, which wasn't too great a hardship.

Ok for repair or project work.

I bought this product because the battery packs supplied with the Christmas lights I bought did not adequately locate the batteries to ensure a consistent power supply to the lights.I bought one of the more expensive replacement battery pack products listed expecting good performance. Unfortunately, the battery packs I purchased suffer from exactly the same problems as those supplied with the lights, namely:-1. the batteries are able to move from side to side (the apertures are wide enough to accept an AA battery)2. the springs do not tension the battery against the positive terminal therefore not making an effective electrical contactI have tried batteries from three different manufacturers and while some batteries are slightly longer none of them are properly located and therefore do not supply the required voltage to the output leads. For the above reasons the battery boxes are not fit for purpose and I request a refund.

I haven’t tested them yet but they look amazing! I didn’t know the cover had a switch
