A Linguists Best Friend, Another Hit from Japan Times
The Japan Times produces some of the greatest content on Japan and East Asia, let alone world news. Their Genki Textbooks and Activity books are exceptional tools with a full arsenal of techniques, drills, skills, and helpful online content.I adore this series.

Free returns are not free!!
Product was fine but I Mistakenly ordered the wrong book. I asumed (another mistake ) that since it said free returns I would not have to pay return shipping. I should have take to usps and mailed it myself instead of printing your return label. It would have been cheaper!

A recipe for failure
Please take it from me, someone who has lived and worked in Japan for years, stay away from these books. Simply put, these books teach broken and incomplete grammar and vocabulary that repeatedly set the learner up for confusion and failure later on. There are numerous free resources online that are much better.

Llegó un poco doblado
El producto es nuevo, pero no viene con cubierta plástica por lo que llegó un poco doblado como se ve en las fotos. Fuera de eso venía en buen estado, sin rupturas y el doblez tampoco estaba super marcado, lo corregí poniéndolo entre dos libros pesados un par de días.

Good book for self study
The explaination is very detailed and clear. There are lots of practice questions after each chapter, which I personally think are very useful and interesting. In the back of the book is the reading section for each lesson. These are good reading practice too.

Rip off. Doesn't include answers.
Save your money. The books don't include answers so you have to waste money on a separate answer book. Also the material itself is poorly explained and overly euro-centric. It tries to force Japanese into a European framework and that actually makes it harder not easier to learn.
