200-gram guide coat powder kit is made with stable, non-reactive filtered carbon and is the only brand of powdered guide coat that can be filled, primed or top coated without removing all the powder. Contains up to to 4 times the powder in other brands. Guide coat tells you when to stop sanding. Not using it causes you to do 3 things. 1 not sand enough, 2 sand just right 3 sand too much. You won't know which of the three pertain to you until after your first coat of paint, then you'll know something is wrong and you have just wasted some very expensive paint and a whole lot of time. To be clear, we're talking about proper block sanding, not just roaming around with sandpaper in a random pattern.
