It is a Blade heli, that should be enough info right there!
Blade is a good quality brand that is supported by Horizon Hobby all while constantly improving with new technology. I think that this is the third version in this size where they started with a flybar system and now that has been replaced by SAFE. SAFE uses electronics to stabilize and has three different flight modes to reduce limits on pitch and bank angles as you progress. This model even has a battery warning for low power. All parts are listed in the breakdown so that you can order more parts when you crash and break something and yes eventually something will break although they can take some abuse. Overall a fun little machine to fly outdoors in little wind. Also it will bind to other Spectrum transmitters of 2.4 and at least six channels. If you have the transmitter then you probably aren't reading this and already have made the purchase.

cheap
i have had one of these before and it was built much better. the tail boom came very loose so the shaking caused it to destroy the end of the boom that goes into the back of the heli eventually causing it to fall out and the tail rotor fell off, o f f, off. complete garbage that i cannot return. i have been flying heli's for decades and this was the worst ive seen. dont waste the money.

Great first bird.
Great little trainer! First hell and zero sim time. 1st flight I let off the throttle too high and is smacked on the concrete from about 10 feet, broken tail boom and tail fin and rotar. 10$ fix and haven’t broken anything else after 50 flights and about 5 crashes, 1 into a tall Oak tree. Overall I’m satisfied and will keep flying till I’m solid. A nice add on would be the Tenergy t420 lipo charger and some Eflight 750mah batteries (10 min Flights!)

An awesome heli
So I wanted something a bit bigger then the 70S (which is also awesome) without breaking the bank. The 120 S2 does fit that very well. I can't quite say I have been bitten by the bug just yet but I have been wondering about using some of the different flight modes of this one (and I am looking at the Nano). I have been flying in green mode since I have purchased this but switching to blue once in a while. I don't know if I can really say much on durability though. The dynamics between the 70S and the 120 S2 are quite different. The 70S is responsive and durable though I have had to replace a few parts because the 70S was my first one and I banged that around quite a bit (totally my bad). So now that I have some experience I purchased this 120 S2 and I love it but I try to be more careful. I have banged this one around a bit also. The tail of the 120 S2 seem to come loose easily, especially after taking a hit so I am having a little trouble keeping it aligned up properly.I am very happy with the 120 S2 and the price is right.

Not for me.!.!.!.
Iv always bought XK Heli’s until this one & I’ll say I’m not at all impressed because it broke it two places the very first time I crashed it. ( the tail boom broke & completely split along with one of the ball joints on the swashplate) the crash was my fault yea but it wasn’t that violent of a crash. It’s now unusable & reason for me to never purchase this particular brand again.

do not buy this helicopter broke on first run not durable
This helicopter flew good at first, a gust of wind blew me into the side of the house and now it wont fly just goes in circles it looks fine but won't fly this is not for a beginner

Great aircraft for an intermediate pilot
I really enjoy flying this aircraft and the flight time per battery is very satisfying. My primary aircraft is a DJI Inspire 1 "drone" which is so easy to fly. This helicopter is a little more difficult and challenges my flight skills. Make sure you are familiar with the helicopter flight controls and perhaps try a simulator on computer first. Also, make sure the green LED is on inside the aircraft before you take off. It's configured by the toggle switch on the left side of the remote control.

Make sure the swashplate is level by adjusting the servo arms prior to first flight.
This is a fixed pitch fly bar less helicopter and therefore has a very low head speed which on the model I had caused the boom to rock up and down, very annoying.
