Sheds fluff after washing before 1st use, starts to peel away from roller after cleaning
UPDATE Jul 2020: Amazon gave me a credit as a goodwill, can be used for items that are sold and fulfilled by Amazon. I utilised this but had to return the bought item as it was faulty (had scratches on the item). Amazon refused to credit back the balance used for part of the full payment as they claimed it was a "single use" credit, even though it was never mentioned in the message received when they gave me the credit.Bought this roller to paint newly skimmed fully dried walls and ceiling, (e.g. flat) after reading the reviews. The pile is "medium", ideal for holding enough paint without excess saving time reloading during use.I always thoroughly wash new rollers to remove lose fibres before 1st use, this no different.Using standard emulsion paint, fluffs were shedding from the roller onto the walls every so often, so a lot of stopping to remove them and correct these sections before carrying on. Cleaning after the 1st use, the edges of the roller pile were already coming away from 2 separate sections.Contacted the manufacturer, recommended by Amazon as it was outside the returns period, conveniently they did not respond.Don't recommend, not worth the effort and money for a poor product.

Painting Terolean or pebble dash? Use this!
I was skeptical - the packaging looks like the marketing department were trying too hard to sell a paint roller.I'd enquired about house painting from a few decorators and as soon as I mentioned we'd got terolean, they either declined the work or put the price up considerably.I watched a few "how to" videos on a well-known video streaming platform and read lots of forum posts (most saying use a brush, don't bother or other defeatest things!) and stumbled across these rollers.I bought a sturdy adjustable roller holder, a 3m pole and this. I'm over-the-moon with the results (with cheap external paint too!) I've saved a packet on paying someone to to it!They're just an absolute pain to clean when you've finished!Recommended.

Excellent for pebble dash
I have just painted the front, back and side of my house with this roller. The surface is very rough pebble dash. This roller is many times better than the one I was using before I got the Captain Chunk. It's made the job much easier and effective. Would highly recommended.

Not fit for purpose
I bought one of these to do a flat ceiling,it left clumps of the roller material on my ceiling, from the start. On checking the roller clumps of the material came away in my hand so it went straight in the bin and I had to do the job with my 9" roller.Very disappointing.

The only one that worked for me!!!
Tried three other “long/extra long pile rollers for Roughcast”to paint new wet dash on my house without success, then I tried Captain Chunk roller, absolute perfect,it’s the only one which got right in to all the nooks and crannies of the roughcast, load it with paint(it can be heavy)and away you go.Painted over 100m2 of new wet-dash,3coats all with the one roller before it started to break up,I’ve now bought two more.

Worthy buy
I bought 3 of these along with Axus Décor 9 x 1.75-inch Immaculate Frame, on a mission to redecorate the entire house. One I dedicated to light tones paint, an other for the mid-tones and last for dark tones. All 3 of them did a great job!The tube packaging is a great protection when you store them after the are clean and dry.Happy!

Works well on the hardest jobs
Worked well on tyrolean applied k-rend that had lost it's colour and was stained. It was as hard and jagged of surface you could find, awful to paint. This roller was the best way I could find of getting some coverage. It did loose chunks of bristles but it was hardly surprising given how sharp the render was. Tip- I found watering down the first coat worked to get the render covered, then doing two more coats of neat paint that went on better.Johnstone's Stormshield (trade) paint was used; expensive but excellent results.

Worth to buy
Product is awesome! I work with this roller on emulsion only on new builds-Pro thing! Don't recommend to do ceilings with not covered furniture 😉. Have Axus tools for last 2years and didn't let me down at all! AWESOME work tools for no price 👍👍👍
