Elastic holds this diaper snug to the belly and legs, to prevent licking, as well as to prevent leakage. Nylon binding reduces any irritation from rubbing around areas that touch the skin. Durability and wash ability is important, so we've made this product out of soft knit that won't pill and a sport fabric liner that will hold up to wear and tear. Pad inserts can be used for additional absorption.

I didn't even want to put it on my poor old pup
This is not at all what I expected. The fabric was so stiff and looked so uncomfortable, I didn't even want to put it on my poor old pup. It requires some sort of lining or pad, which was near impossible to find what would work with this. Without a pad to absorb, the diaper itself is useless. Disappointed.
