Companies normally make a big deal of organic certification and I don't see this mentioned anywhere in the description. You could try looking on Bugvita's website. They encourage questions and provide a form to fill in for this purpose ...

Can this replace salt or pepper or is it a silly question 🤔

Lots of people use it as a seasoning, eg. sprinkled over roast veg or cauliflower cheese, or even add it to spice rubs. It's not really a substitute for salt or pepper though, it doesn't taste salty or peppery - more nutty/malty. Hope that helps!
