IKEA Vikhammer Nightstand, Black

I ordered this table from a third party and paid more than Ikea was selling it for, but the reason I paid it was because I was unable to get to an Ikea store and they would not deliver it to my zip code. I don't know if I would purchase another one for the same price, even though I am very pleased with it, but I'm not sorry I got it. When I spoke to the merchant and he explained why he charged what it did, I could understand the expenses he had in handling it. So had it not been for him offering it, I would not have it at all.I had little problems with assembling it; the pictures were easy to follow. It took me a few hours over a period of days; it would have been faster if I was used to assembling things. Just wish I had a nickel for every time I dropped that alun wrench though lolBut for an 85 year old great-grandmother, I think I did okay!

I bought this because it was an Ikea brand. The instructions are surprisingly vague . The package came with teh wrong parts and it took an hour on phone with Ikea to get replacement parts. The experience was somewhere between calling teh cable company and a government office) . The parts ( drawer glides ...still waiting for) are not stocked in the USA and have to come from either Canada or Sweden and will take weeks .

The price for this item is too much, i woukd rather pay $150.00 than almost 200 for a nightstand like this. Now the positive comment will be that fits perfect with my set and i am going for the second one. Also the size is perfect, my bed has a 6 inch frame, the mattress box and the mattress so the height is perfect.
