I’ve really enjoyed using this Sight Words and Spelling Workbook with my 8 year old daughter. The activities are clear, gentle, and easy to follow. She loves tracing the letters, coloring the pictures, and trying to read the simple words. I also like how the book introduces new sight words in a way that feels fun, not overwhelming. The pages are clean and well-designed with a step-by-step practice that helps her feel proud that she’s able to understand and finish every page. It becomes one of our favorite quiet-time activities, and I can already see her confidence growing. Overall, this is a wonderful workbook for building early reading and spelling skills. We are very happy we found it, and I think many young learners as well as their parents would like and enjoy it too.

We homeschool our kids and this made for a great spelling curriculum for my first grader. I have her do one page of the workbook every day with quizzes on Fridays.

Purchased this for my son who is in first grade. They have been doing sight words and blending a lot this year, so wanted to get something to supplement at home. This was a great find and I like that they have units already planned out, so I just have him do a little a day.

This book is great! Girly without being obnoxious. The pictures are cute and simple. Wonderful addition to our homeschool day as my daughter can complete the pages independently (after we went over the first few units together). The repetition of the activities works well for my daughter as she then knows what to do and how to do it, just using different words. I didn't do 5 stars, since I agree with a few other reviews that there isn't enough practice for each unit AND there are not enough units in the book. BUT overall, this book is great! I also ordered more workbooks from the Modern Kid line and am hopeful they will be a hit with my girl!

Kindergarten must have ! My daughter loved learning sight words in this book. The coloring or finding the words or even finishing words. The combination kept her interested and more confident.

Good teaching tool

22 units for kids to do..

My daughter enjoyed this book and she was happy to get this out and work though it, but I think the reason for that was because it was not difficult and quite easy for her. She is 6 years old and the book is 6-8, so I was hoping there would be some challenging sections in the book, but she breezed through it.

Sight wordとは、theやisなど、よく出てくるのにフォニックスの読み方規則に合わない単語のことです。 フォニックスが終わりつつある小一のこども用に購入しましたが、正直失敗しました。Sight wordを何度も書く練習をさせるだけで、特に覚えるための工夫もなく、例文もほとんどなく、挿絵も特に出てくる単語に関係ないものです。これではSight Wordsをノートに何度も練習させるのとほとんど変わらないと思いました。 何がSight wordか分かる、という意味では役に立つので、一応星2にしますが、内容ほとんどないので1です。
