THINGAMA PETS MUSICAL SHEEP

I bought this not for a baby but for my father who is blind, partially disabled and doesn't have the dexterity to use a regular mp3 player. He enjoys listening to his old music from the 1950's and 60's and feels like he has to trouble someone to play it for him. So for his birthday, I bought this thing knowing he could memorize where the play button is and he couldn't accidentally touch some menu that would take the player over into some area that made it not play or pause. This seemed like a perfect solution. I saved his music and uploaded it to the pet, which was difficult to do since the company is not in business and so no-where to look on a website to download the player software. But after a google search, I found another website that had a link to download. It played for about a week and then quit playing. I had it in my possession the entire time, so I know it wasn't dropped, exposed to water or abused. My father and I were both disappointed because he really was enjoying it.

This has been a great mp3 player for my little one. We can load our own songs to it, just like any other mp3 player.

The thingamapet company has gone out of business. I purchased one of these lambs and was very excited to use it. However, the way it is designed is that you load the MP3 player with music through the thingamapets.com website. Unfortunately, the website is no longer in existence and I have found no other way to load music to this animal. The animal itself is very cuddly and would have been wonderful if we could actually put music on it. Now it is just an expensive stuffed animal that does nothing. If somebody can tell me another way to get the music on it so it actually functions as an MP3 player, I will be happy to change my review. Meanwhile, do not purchase this item. It will be a waste of your money.

My oldest son received one of these about seven years ago and loved it! It has been very durable through his toddler years! He is now 8 and still likes to use it for the Mozart songs I put on it at bed time. Super easy to load songs I wanted on to it, easily accessible for loading songs, and changing batteries when needed. Now getting another for my youngest!

I bought one for my 1 year old and loaded the veggie tales cd on it. (Drag and drop.. No special program or site needed)... It works perfectly... She loves it,My 10 year old and 9 year old love it, too!

My husband & I bought these for our 8 grandkids ages newborn-10 yrs old. They were a hit, we uploaded kids worship music and the kids wouldn't put their thingamapet pet down. they woke up to it, eat with it, slept with it, everywhere they went thingamapet went with them. Thingamapets are life savers. My grandson miss placed it and found his pet 3 years later and was so happy he was kissing it and telling his "lambie" how much he loved and missed him, too cute!
