Strong quality sound
The worst I can say: certain settings with specific (usually single coil) guitars can get white-noisy. It doesn’t bother me that much, and for the sound quality and price point it’s an awesome headphone amp

Great tones in an ultra small package!
I was looking for a small multi-effects unit to travel with. This thing is awesome for practicing while you travel! It sounds great in headphones, but I also had good results plugging it into aux ports of car stereos and bluetooth speakers. I imagine you would have pretty decent sound if you plugged into a PA system too. Settings are easily tweaked on the 4 different channels (via the app), and the button to toggle between channels is at you guitar's jack, so it's not like having a peddle board, but you can still switch between channels somewhat easily. I cannot believe the variety of effects in such a small device, and such a low price! The only way to adjust sound is through the app, so that is a downside, but I just set it where I like it and only have to change it if I plug into a different device. Each channel can be set to a different volume level. Usually if I am moving from headphones to another device, that device has its' own volume control anyway, so no big deal. Highly recommend for anyone that needs portable tones, or even for any beginner on a budget. I wish I could have had so many tones for that price when I first started!Update after 6 months of use. I just noticed someone posted a negative review of this product and wished they had held on to some device they had from the 80s. Their main complaint was a lack of knobs and no volume control. I will admit that a physical knob or two, especially volume would be nice. The thing is, everything is adjustable in the app, sounds like this person did not realize that. I started playing in the 1980's and just 1 effects pedal would have cost about the same as the nux, and that would not be multi-effects, and no amp either. After 6 months I still love this thing! I just found out there is a 3rd party app called Mightier that can be used to tweak the different channels even further. I found that the volume varies if I am changing from BT speaker to headphones, so having to adjust volume on each channel if jumping between devices is a little irritating. Best to set everything to acceptable volume on headphones first, then just use BT speaker volume to adjust. Still super excited about this product and not sure how anyone could not like it, especially at this price.

Great for musicians that don’t want to disturb others.
This gadget is great for musicians who need to learn and practice songs without disturbing others. The onboard DSP features are great! I use it for guitar and keyboards. One ding I would give this unit is on durability. Be careful when unplugging the unit from your instrument. My unit eventually lost connection after a couple of years of usage. Just take extra care when gripping and pulling the quarter inch Jack from the instrument. I’m on my 2nd unit and taking extra caution when using.

Get one of these.
Since I have grown older, this is the kind of thing that fits my lifestyle. Most of my gear is in the basement and I've always wanted to just have an electric guitar "upstairs" near my TV. Trouble is, of course, I didn't want to have to bring up an amp. A nice guitar is like a piece of beautiful furniture. It's art. But an amp with chords, etc., well, they're not as welcome in my house. Enter, the Nux Mighty Plug. Now, I don't have to settle for un-amped "pretend" electric. I have the real thing...more or less, and no chords to tether myself outside of the earbuds which I keep wrapped around the unit when not in use. It's really nice to be able to stroll around the family/living room and kitchen whilst playing I can tell you.I've found for my current taste, the clean sound is quite nice and I do find (I can't believe I'm saying this as an old rocker) the distortion a little too much but with the app, of course, that can be dialed down and saved. If anything, it's the app that could use some more options and perhaps a better design though I haven't spent a lot of time delving into it and have not thus created a wish with the exception of figuring out how to add my own Jam tracks to the app. Of course, you can play anything on a bluetooth enabled device and jam with that. Regarding that, I use an Android-based phone and Applian Media Catcher to get mp3's and Smart Audiobook Player to set my library of tracks. That makes is even more convenient although I started off with finding Youtube backing tracks. In the past couple of days I've also taken advantage of the drum machine that's built into the app. Nice. It just appears that one should be able to add songs/artists. Again, I have looked around but perhaps I'm missing something obvious. If the device seems a little pricey, just cut out the expensive coffee for a couple of weeks to offset the cost. This is one cool piece of gear that you will use often and your neighbors might even pitch in if they knew you wouldn't be playing your guitar at all hours of the night!
