They shear off before being tightened down.
These POS screws are so weak that they shear off before you even get them tightened down into the holes. You would think making a self-tapping screw, you would make it strong enough to perform its function. I had to go to a local TORO dealer and buy the screws from them, which worked perfectly and did as they were supposed to. DO NOT buy these, You will ruin your spindles.

Junk screws
These screws are junk. The screw head snapped off before the head was fully seated. So, I drilled out the broken screw and proceeded to try again. The second screw snapped off as well. Again, not fully seated. I'm at a loss as to how this could happen when the spindle housing is cast aluminum.
