Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 | Student & Teacher Edition | Mac Code

Redemption code is too short and does not work on the Adobe site. I have retyped it carefully, and even copied and pasted. It's not a typo issue - the code is simply 2 digits short. Nor does there seem to be a way to contact the seller through the orders page to get assistance.

Navigate to purchased item "How to redeem this item"3. Click on the link to website that validates educational identity, use redemption code here (recommend 2 things here: First, use private email vs edu; Second, set up your adobe.com account using the private email. That way you license will be registered under your private email)4. Enter requisite identity verification info, upload proof as necessary, then submit5. In my case verified identity email came right away - it has the all important serial number you need to activate6. Can’t get this to install no way to cancel. Horrible interface and bad instructions the code given never worked!

I want to walk everyone who is looking at this product in 2024 through the process to get this product. First of all, it is not a scam, you will get your software, but there are more steps to it than Amazon gives you.Most important thing to take note of is that the code you will be sent/given by Amazon for your purchase is a PRODUCT CODE. It is different than the Serial Number you will need to register the product.First step, contact Adobe support with your product code immediately. Don’t bother trying to put the code into any Adobe registration websites, they won’t work. The websites require a 24 digit code, the product code is 22 (though other reviews suggest some have even fewer digits).Support will then send you to a website called identit-e, this is step 2. If you are a student (or a teacher and you want to be able to keep this product separate from your work email) I would highly recommend you use a personal email. They can verify your status as a student or teacher if you upload the requisite documentation. The website will walk you through what information you need to submit. I am a student, so I input my university and area of study, along with whatever else they asked. I personally uploaded 3 documents for my verification - front and back pictures of my student ID, my most recent student bill statement, and a copy of my unofficial transcript to show that I was enrolled in the current term.After you submit the request, identit-e will send you the serial number you will need for the product. I was sent the code the very next day after contacting Adobe Support at 8 p.m the previous night, they work quickly. They will also include instructions for how to redeem the software, which I will also detail down below.The next part here is likely where my advice will diverge, as I own a Mac and bought the Mac product code, so I can’t speak to the next part of the process for Windows users.I tried submitting the product code on the Adobe education website and their regular registration website, neither worked. You can try them to see if they work for you but you will most likely get a pop up that says ‘code is invalid’. The serial number is not invalid, you will need to download the Adobe Acrobat Pro 2020 software directly from Adobe’s website (identit-e will include a link to the download page with your code but it’s relatively easy to find). Make sure you quit any other versions of Adobe Acrobat you have running before you begin the installation process, since it won’t complete if they are. After you download the software and open the launcher to install it you will be prompted to enter a serial number - this is where you enter the serial number identit-e emailed you. The software will then install on your computer regularly.After the software is installed you will be prompted to login with Adobe to complete the registration of your new software. And that’s it, you have your new Adobe Acrobat 2020. As near as I can tell it works well on Mac, I’m running it on the most updated version of Mac right now (Sonoma 14.4.1) and it seems to be working just fine.

There have been a number of negative reviews claiming that this product is burdensome to activate. I did not have any problems, although there were a series of steps required. The download and activation took less than 30 minutes.I did have some difficulty in removing the earlier versions of Acrobat Pro that were on my computer as the software on the Adobe website, Acrobat Cleaner, initially had a broken link. But Adobe fixed that promptly and I used it to remove all of the files for the 32 bit versions of Acrobat Pro.

Purchased this for a Mac. Says email will come with 21 digit activation code. Activation code on email and Amazon site is 5 letters and 12 numbers for a total for 17 digits.Will not activate.Waste of money

I verified this purchase using my school email as requested and that was a fast process, about 5 minutes total. Trying to download the software after that is tricky and I see why other users were frustrated. I tried the amazon software library and my adobe account but couldn't find it. For me, what worked is I googled "acrobat download" and it took me to my account. I downloaded the program and then it asked for the serial number (which is emailed to you once your verify your school email). After that, it was smooth sailing. Good luck!

Wish i did my research before purchasing as this version will not support Apple Silicon without Rosetta Stone. The subscription version does support Apple Silicon natively and with a 1.5x performance increase. The other negative is after installing, it made a mess of my Microsoft 365 apps creating a Visual Basic 53 runtime error. I tried all of the suggestions online but ultimately did a fresh copy of Ventura on my Mac Mini M2 Pro. I did not reinstall this copy and hesitant to give the subscription version a try unless the VB 53 error issue has confirmed addressed. Ideally, I would get my money back or at least a credit to be applied to the subscription if it doesn't have the above issues.
