Bought this to keep track on measurements while losing weight. Its perfect becasue you can sync it to your phone and it will track it for you. I bought the Renpho smart scale as well and they work beautifully together. It was inexpensive and easy to use. You do not have to download the free app, but it's exciting to see the graph drop during your journey.

Great to for taking and tracking your measurements. The app is valuable, easy to use, and really cool. Great to log losses or gains.

I just received the RENPHO Smart Tape Measure and was excited to take body measurements easily and with digital accuracy. My first use, I noticed things I did not like :- Very thin tape, about half the width of a standard tape, so twists a little to easily when pulling it around the body, which can be annoying.- Hooking the end of the tape into it's recess was tricky as you need to push it in, fiddly and again, nowhere near as easy as a standard body retractable tape that just slots into the side.- As others have mentioned, you need to be quick to press the record measurement button or it turns off- The side button to press to retract tape onto the body is tiny and awkward to get to when measuring the neck for example, you can't see it of course and it's not obvious from a touch perspective.I basically have a whole list of design flaws that I don't like, but after fiddling around, untwisting the tape, and working quickly so it did not turn off, I have all my body measurements loaded into their app and that's great. Would I buy this again, mmmmm I guess yes, it's so cheap ( and you can tell by the build quality ) and there's no real other option that's radically different, but if you just accept that, then you'll get the desired outcome, digital numbers against your body measurments?

I’ve been losing weight and wanted to be able to track inches lost in addition to pounds lost. This tape measure is so much easier to use than trying to use an analog tape. An added side benefit is that it’s made it much easier to buy my clothes on Amazon in the right size because I always have my measurements available In the app!To use, simply pull the tape around the part you’re trying to measure and insert the end back into the body of the device. Press a button to auto-tighten the tape around that body part, then click to measure. The measurement will auto-populate the body part you’ve selected in the app. The app will record your changes over time so you can see your progress. It also allows you to add body parts. For example, chest is pre-defined but bust is not. I was able to easily add “bust” and now it is always there for me.This was a good value - if nothing else it has saved me time and money not having to make returns on clothes that don’t fit me!

Love this. Easy to use and works well with app

I have the smart scale and love it. I’m not nearly as impressed with the tape measure. It takes some jiggling and jamming to get the end connected to the unit. Once you get it to stay looped you have to keep positioning it while you tighten it. Tightening should be a smooth retracting, but I’m finding I almost have to feed it back in.I had some trouble getting the measurements assigned to the right body part, but I think that is probably a learning curve.For the cost, I don’t feel I made a great purchase. It doesn’t make measuring by myself any easier, but I do like the tracking features of the app.Because I had to manually enter the numbers anyway, I’d rate the free app much higher than the tape measure .
