Teach Yourself VISUALLY Word 2016 (Teach Yourself VISUALLY (Tech))

I dont know why microsoft keeps changing the menus on their apps but well they do. Sometimes functions you came to rely on are G-O-N-E altogether. I like this book on kindle because its easy to search and the menus are actually the ones you get with 2016. Search the net for answers and you get menu sequences that don't match what you see on your 2016. Heaven forbid you go to the Microsoft community for answers. So 5 stars, easy to find what you need, answers are self contained, no need to flip back and forth, shows you how to work around some dumb limitations like un-matching footers on successive sections. Please sir can I have my Wordstar back? Now why when i go to print does it think my paper is 0.94" wide....ticker tape maybe??

I GOT EXACTLY WHAT I ORDERED.

I kept getting messages from Microsoft that my browser and other things were not going to be supported as my computer was over ten years old, so I got a new tower that had Windows 10 loaded on it which it is not at all like my previous one. The first IT tech really knew very little about moving and copying the files to this new one, so I got an IT tech from another place. He took my old and new computer in and he had it for a little over a week. Then I had to have him back because I could not get to my email file folders. Therefore I ordered this book and several other ones to help me work through this new computer.

This is an excellent way to learn Word. The screenshots are superb and the short concise explanations are very good. The whole Teach Yourself Visually series for computers is terrific. I know that this particular book on Word is used as a textbook in some schools. There's nothing like beautiful pictures that match exactly what you see on your computer screen.

This will help me learn how to use Word.

A very useful and algorithmic book. It is easy to understand, answers every question you need, and at the same time practical. You can see everything you search at one glance. Includes everything you need to work with word. The format is very simple and gives the reader a very good view.

I'm a visual learner and this book covers the material in a way that I can understand. Screen captures are clear and show only what's being discussed; no confusion.

It's a start, but there are still a number of things to be found by the "explore and try method".

Easy to follow for anyone with no knowledge of Word

I bought this for my wife, she uses Word a great deal, still had to get professional one on one help for her though.

Useful information to help the novice to learn and understand WORD. Good reference book .
