In this insane spoof, every horror movie ever made comes hilariously to life as slacker Stan and his stoner pals try to deliver videos to a deserted California town on Halloween night. After being stalked by realistic replicas of horror characters Freddy Kruger, Pinhead and The Creeper, our gang arrives in the small burg, which formerly contained a horror movie studio - hence the throngs of freaky, familiar characters literally crawling the streets. Our crew of two mischievous guys and two sexy girls outwit and outslash every cinematic horror character - or, in the case of Michael Jackson, merely horrific - to uncover the town s shocking secret: the studio s still at it, making movies of a very, ahem, different kind. When the creatures won t let our heroes leave, Stan decides to live up to his monster-slaying namesake s destiny. But first, he must endure a Survivor -style competition: gobbling down body parts! RisquΓ©, righteous, revolting, and ridiculous, Stan Helsing is more than a slayer - it s totally killer.

Silly and funny.
Silly, funny and not afraid to be un-politically correct. You don't see that often these days. Some jokes hit, some miss, but nice.I enjoyed the movie.

A good spoof movie.
This was a very good movie, it had alot of laughs within it. Took the micky out of a good many horror films in a positive way. This is definitely a good movie for a rainy day inside with some popcorn.Arrival was very speedy and overall a fantastic price for a DVD.

Good but not great
Quite funny if not slightly weird, not as good as some other comedy horror films but still a decent watch if you're looking for something along those lines.

Meh. I should listen to my own advice . . .
Usually, at the end of my reviews, I recommend that people rent the item I'm writing about before buying it, to see if it's their cup of tea before committing to a purchase. But when I saw that Leslie Nielsen was in this film, I pounced on it without hesitation, since I'm a fan of his.Others have gone into enough detail about this film, so you don't need me to go through all that stuff again, so I'll just add my thoughts to the mix. While not anywhere near as dire as most of the previously-released "Movie Movies" (Disaster Movie, Sports Movie, etc.), I think this is a film I wouldn't have bought had I rented it first. It has a rambling plot (which is more than I can say for "Disaster Movie"), a few good laughs, and some decent acting, but I believe it could have been better. There wasn't enough Leslie Nielsen in it for my liking, too much of the humour was the lowest end of base, and the ending is rather lazy, leaving me wondering: "Oh, is that it?" I don't think I'll get much repeat viewing out of it, now that I own it. It might be an okay movie for renting once on a slow weekend, if you just want to kick back and not engage your brain too much. So: I recommend you rent this film to see if it's your cup of tea before committing to a purchase. Just 'cause I wasn't so keen on it doesn't mean you might not absolutely love it. It might be more suited to a teenaged / student audience than a middle-aged guy like me. Heck, SOMEONE must be really enjoying these things, or they wouldn't keep stamping them out.

Could have been funnier !
The movie wasn't too bad, however, I didn't laugh as much as I thought I would. Leslie Nielsen's character wasn't as humorous as it should have been, but he made as much effort as possible. You should judge for yourselves with regards to this movie and it should definitely be on the Amazon Prime selection, not sure if it's worth the money to rent, even if it was from the same producers as Scary Movie ( which I love ).
