Emile Henry Linen Bread Loaf Baker, 11.02 x 5.12 x 4.72in

I have been trying to make my own bread instead of purchasing. I saw an ad for this bread baker and decided to give it a try. I use the basic slicing bread recipe from the included recipe booklet and it comes out perfect every time. I do oil the inside of the baker before baking to make sure it comes out ok, and so far so good!

I've been making bread off & on for years now. I got this to try to help hold in some steam & get a better rise in my loaves. It worked fantastically! I have never had bread turn out this good; even with dutchovens, cast iron bread pans, etc. If you want great fresh bread with minimal effort, make some no knead dough the night before, toss it in this the next day, let it rise, and bake. You won't regret it.

I bake bread every week. My daughter does as well and she has two of these. I was a little sceptical about spending $100 for a bread pan but saw the consistent results that my daughter is having and decided that these would be a worthwhile investment, as well as being able to pass down to my daughter when that time comes. So glad I did! Beautiful baked loaves! I have not used the lids\tops as my second proofing rises above pan and I just cover with an English tea towel. If you invest your time, good ingredients and love in your bread baking these are a must have for the last step in the process - beautiful baked loaves!!!

It makes perfect bread!

I was looking for something cheap, but this was the only one that was in my price range. It honestly exited my expectations. The bread comes out perfect, just how I wanted it. My recipe calls for removing the cover and baking another 5-10 to brown the top, with this one you don’t have to do that, it comes out just like on the picture, I believe it’s because of the holes.

I bought this Emile Henry bread oven with some hesitation because of the price. I was tired of poorly baked loaves and wanted more success from my baking hobby. It has been fantastic!! I get perfect loaves of sandwich breads and whole grain loaves as well.The first oven cracked during my first use and Amazon replaced quickly - so easy. I can’t say enough about the excellent service

This is a nice pan that cooks bread well. The top of the lid is glazed but the underside of the lid is not. This can lead to sticking so I am not sure why they did not just glaze the whole thing. The pan is able to heat up prior to putting bread in it.

The baking dish arrived in good condition and is sturdy and well made but I’ve yet to get a good result while using it. The first recipe I tried was a simple rustic loaf that I’ve made many times before in a Dutch oven. It’s nearly infallible. I didn’t adjust the cooking time and the loaf was a tad under done, it also didn’t get the usual amount of rise but I figured it was user error and I needed to adjust for the ceramic. The second loaf stuck badly to the underside of the lid and I couldn’t remove it halfway through baking without tearing off the entire top. The lid is unfinished on the bottom I believe to regulate humidity but honestly I’d rather it be smoothly finished. I have very mixed feelings about this baker. It was expensive and honestly I was getting better results with my cast iron Dutch oven.
