Defending Zara (Mountain Mercenaries Book 6)

I have really enjoyed the Mountain Mercenaries series and 'Zara' is one of the best, if only for the epilogue!!Meat and Zara are wonderful characters, especially Zara after what she has been through.I dont want to write any spoilers, so I'll just say if you've read any of the Mountain Mercenaries books, you just have to read this one. It gives the answer to the question we've all been asking, "who is Rex?".I'm surprised Susan has told us who Rex is and not kept it a secret until the last book.If you haven't read any of this series yet, I urge you to do so, you will not be disappointed.

Meat and Zara's story was really good. Zara went through a nightmare 15 years before being accidentally found. Just as good as the other books in this series. But, OMG, the epilogue!!!!!!!!! No spoilers here, but I cannot wait for Rex's book. Already pre-ordered it. What a twist! Totally didn't see that one. You, Miss Stoker, are a genius. My only gripe, is the 3 month wait to read Defending Raven. Fantastic book.

I read this book in one sitting. Could not put it down. My heart was going a mile a minute. Cannot wait for the next one when Rex aka Dave and the rest of the Mountain Mercenaries go to Peru and find Mags. Absolutely wonderful author. Thank you Susan Stoker. Your penmanship is breathtaking.

Defending Zara was a pleasure to read. The characters, setting and plot draw you in to their make-believe world. Again Susan Stoker has managed to highlight the injustice and poverty in parts of the world that some of us are lucky enough to know nothing about. Reading the parts of the book based in Peru made me feel grateful and lucky for all that I have. Of course the cliffhanger at the end has me counting the days until Defending Raven is released!

I don’t know how you do it but you have excelled yourself again. What an absolutely awesome book I couldn’t put it down. Zara was an amazing strong woman because of her childhood struggles & Meat is so Hot & caring. Also what a lead up to the next book cannot wait. This is again another must read from the amazing Susan Stoker.

I love this series. Meat is left fighting for his life when a mission goes wrong. Zara is scared but strong and helps Meat get the help needs. Great story of survival in horrid conditions. Love the ending and can't wait for the next if not last book of this series. Already pre ordered.

I loved this book and it's kickass female heroine, she's not a victim she's a warrior who saves Meat's life and escapes Peru to head back to Colorado Springs.I can't wait for the next book in this series, my suspicions about who Red was is confirmed!

I’m thinking that this will be the last mountain mercenaries, as I think that Rex will be going also to get his wife back, so should have lots of axshone , and be the best one yet. Have read all the mountain book, and will keep to read again some time.
