Own several books covering the 917. This one does list some details that I have not come across, before.

Excellent book on the Porsche 917, covering many little details I never knew about this legendary car. However I do wish there were more details of the 917/30 used in the Can-Am series driven by Mark Donahue. Still, it is an excellent book, and highly recommended to 917 fans.

If you are a 917 fan, this book is for you. Lots of details on the car, history of changes, and even includes starting instructions if you are going for a ride. . . .

No, you won't be able to tear down and rebuild your 917 with the aid of this "Workshop Manual," but it does provide an unparalleled and delightfully insightful look for the money into the history, engineering, and politics that surrounded the 917, plus a look at much of it's competition history and the people who made it the legend it is and probably forever will be. Get one for yourself and another for your racing buddy, because neither of you will ever be able to afford the real thing!

Fabulous book with great detail featured all throughout the book. It is just right for a 917 enthusiast or a fan of vintage racing. A great conversation piece!

Lots of great details about an amazing race car. A must read for 917 fans. The author, Ian Wagstaff, really did an excellent job.
