Exactly what I wanted. The band is sturdy, yet has a bit of stretch and is comfortable. Smooth so it doesn't grab my hair. The buckle lets me adjust so I'm not just relying on the size or stretch of the band (I don't like things that are too tight on my head).The hooks on the end are the right size and shape to hold the mask bands away from the back of my ears so there's no pressure, and it's more secure having it around the back of my head.My husband put one on his mask and was very happy too.

These are exactly what I was looking for to take the pressure off my ears. The fit is comfortable and adjustable. You can position it high or low on your head with no problem. Easy to use and put on. Does not make your mask too tight on your face but still has a very snug fit. If you prefer a looser fit you can adjust it to that fit as well. Would recommend for flights, work, or just a quick wear with your mask.

First, arrived quickly, and as advertised. One of the nice things is that you can expand/shorten the band according to head size, and because it is not made of plastic (as other similiar products are) it is more comfortable and strectable. There are two down sides: One is the overall problem with any of these mask straps, they fall to the base of the skull which tends to drag your mask down, potentially leading to the mask not covering your nose adequaetly. The only way to really solve this problem is to wear the band much higher that does bring the mask over the nose, but then the straps are not as comfortable, and still tend to slide downward. Not sure what solution there is for the this fundamental issue, maype a strap more like you find for cpap masks but those mess with hair and more cumbersome to place.The second issue, as I tried to show in the photo, is that when I hook the strap extender to the mask straps, there is a small gap, which means that quite often, when I am placing the mask over my head and fitting it to my face, the mask strap falls out. So to improve the design, the strap extender clasp needs a design that prevents this from happening.Yet, overall I am very satisfied with the product and I think is a better choice than other mask strap extenders made out of plastic. I know others in my family have also like using these straps.

I am a teacher and decided to order these to relieve the pressure on the backs of my ears throughout the day. It certainly helps with that and allows you to adjust the tension. However, the pain now occurs on the top of my ears because the band slides down the back of your head following the curve. It's almost as if you need a second band that goes above to counter the pull downward. All in all, I use it as needed, but it was not a permanent solution.

We now live in a brave new world. I find that I will sometimes have to wear a mask for 2+ hours straight. Since I wear double surgical masks (one being the Army Medic style), it puts a lot of strain on the back of my ears. These hooks make my day far more bearable and generally, pain free.Normally after about 1.5hrs, I can start to sense pain from my ears. After 2hrs, I can start to feel real pain. With these hooks, that is no longer the case. In fact, sometimes I forget I'm even wearing my masks! When there is no longer pain on the back of your ears, your face mask just turns into any other piece of clothing. Think about it: do you realize you are wearing a shirt or pants for most of the day? And why not? Because you don't experience pain while wearing them.I'm stunned that more people don't consider hooks as a necessary part of wearing a mask. Am I the only one who has experienced pain from wearing masks longer than 1 hour? These hooks have spoiled me. I can no longer wear my double surgical masks without using the hooks. My tolerance for ear pain has gone way down. I guess that's what happens when these hooks get you used to a painless experience.

I have a very large head - I wear a 7 3/4 inch ball cap. I had recently purchased some high end cloth face masks that were too small for my ears and I didn’t want to waste the masks. I went through four different products before I purchased these extenders. The non adjustable plastic and silicone products simply did not work- they’re too small and not adjustable. These straps are easy to use, keep the mask comfortably snug and in place and fit around my large head. I wish I had bought these first.

Positive: Comfortable. (I wear it with the band below my pony tail.) Easy to attach once I added a rubber band to keep the hook permanently attached on one side. (Without the rubber band, the hook falls off the first side while i'm hooking the second side.) Easy to remove (once I remembered to remember which side didn't have the rubber band.) Easy to adjust length.Negative: With some of my masks, even at its minimum length, it's still too long. (I need to put it above my pony tail which is not completely comfortable.)

These extender straps are great especially if you have to double mask. When you are out and about carrying stuff you don’t want anything to happen with your mask. These really make wearing a mask more comfortable. Easy to use and easy to adjust.

The best mask aid I have ever used. Helps with the gap on the sides of my face and holds it comfortably all day. No ear pressure!
