Comfy and stays put
It's ugly, but it works. If you can, you're better off buying a saddle that actually fits you well and is comfortable. But if you have to ride in a saddle that makes your butt hurt, or if you've got back/hip issues that would benefit from some extra shock absorption, this will do the trick.I ride three times a week, but I don't own a horse, so I'm not riding in my own saddle. I'm not that finicky about saddles and am generally pretty comfortable in a wide range of styles/sizes, but one of the ponies I ride regularly has an incredibly uncomfortable saddle. It fits him really well, but is just all wrong for my body. I found myself tipping forward into a half seat to avoid the uncomfortable pressure on my seat bones and something about the saddle flared up my old back and hip issues. I had never used a gel saddle cover before and when this arrived, it felt nice and squishy, but I was skeptical that it would actually stay put. After a few rides, I'm very happy with it.It is easy to get on and off the saddle and it provides quite a bit of cushioning with no slipping at all, even when it's not held down by your weight. Posting and two point are fine -- it doesn't roll up in the back or move. And somebody was feeling a little frisky today because the weather turned cooler, and it didn't shift at all when he decided he wanted to hop around and then chase after a cantering OTTB when we were supposed to be trotting. That amount of bouncing would have been torture without the gel pad. With it, my back and hip and seat bones are all fine.Drawbacks? Well aside from being ugly, it's a bit hot. I bought it in late August and it made riding in the heat/humidity even more sticky and uncomfortable. But it's way more squishy and way less hot than a fuzzy saddle cover. It's also not a miracle fix for a bad saddle. I would much rather ride in something that fit me better, but as I don't have the option, I'm glad I have this thing.

A Coccyx Cushion
After galloping bareback on hilly terrain with a head collar and lead-rope and then inevitably struggling to stop the horse who won the bounciest canter award, I had quite a bit of bruising around my tailbone. After a few days rest this cushion was a life saver and helped me to get back into the swing of four horses a day.It stays pretty secure in the two-point position, but any sort of full seat trot and canter work at the medium - extended paces pushed the cushion back onto the cantle.A very good option for low-intensity, jumping and xc trail work for any rider who can safely ride with slight back pain.It shipped quickly and arrived new and clean. It has about 2 inches of tempurpedic material and adjustable traps which fit under the saddle flap and girth billets.

Get the thicker one
The pad works, but the fit is awkward and I should have got the thicker one.

Nice cushion...but does NOT fit Wintec AP saddles!
The pad seems to have nice cushioning but it does not work with Wintec All Purpose saddles. I don't know it it will work with Wintec Dressage saddles. I had to return it.

If your sitting bones are in pain, this product may help you.
Turns out I needed a better-fitting saddle, but this helped me out a ton until I was able to get one. My "sitting bones" were in non-stop pain and this took care of the problem. I wish the cushion was slightly thicker, which is the only reason I gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Otherwise, it's a great product at a reasonable price.

Very nice padding
I finally found an English saddle to fit my very hard to fit draft horse BUT it makes my butt bones terribly uncomfortable after about an hour in the saddle. Plus the seat of the saddle is a touch big for me. This seat cushion did the trick and now I'm able to ride for much longer in comfort plus I don't slide around in the too big seat of the saddle. Two enthusiastic thumbs up for this product!!!

False advertising!
This isn’t the same item pictured on Amazon or on the packaging. It’s much too small, the straps wouldn’t go around my thigh, let alone the sides of a saddle, AND there’s a strap sewn across the seat which isn’t shown in the ad or package photo. I’m tiny and this is way too small for me or my saddle. And finally, there is zero comfort in this pad. My saddle was as “cushiony” as this.

Good shock absorber. Just the right thickness.
I was hoping that I could return to riding after retirement. I had a spinal fusion in 2008 and was not sure if I would ever saddle up again. I am using this cushion with a dressage saddle. I can ride three hours with no pain. No, I am not barrel racing or show jumping. However, I am enjoying the company of horses and the joys of trail riding in the mountains. I highly recommend this for anyone who has had back or hip injuries.

Comfortable
This was just what I needed to keep me comfortable on long rides. I bought the .75inch thickness. It fits my English jumping saddle perfectly and stays in place while riding if you have the straps pulled tightly. I can’t speak yet on the durability so didn’t feel I could give 5 stars.
