Shoe Toebox Toeburst Blowout Hole Prevention Insert/Patch (Black)

Simple solution that works. I wore a hole in the top of a pair of sneakers I cut one of these in half, pressed it in the inside where the hole was, and the shoe looks good as new. Saved me from needing to buy new shoes! I put the other half of the piece I cut in the other shoe to prevent it on the other side.

Bought a pair of sneakers and within two months the top of the toe was starting to show wear from the inside. The sneakers fit well and were so comfortable but they just didn't hold up. $93 down the drain??? Figured it was worth trying to stick these adhesive patches on the inside to try to save the sneakers. They work really well! After over eight months of almost daily wear the patches are still completely adhered and show no wear. Then I put a patch inside other sneaker, too, so it was protected and it never showed any wear. First, it was a bit tricky getting the patches cut to the correct size (they are HUGE and each one can do several sneakers if you only have to protect the big-toe area) so I recommend figuring out what you need with a scrap of paper before cutting the actual patch. After that it took two tries to get the patch stuck to the right spot. That glue sticks IMMEDIATELY to whatever it touches: fingers, shoe laces, etc. So unlace the shoe completely and go slowly and you will do fine. I ended up practicing how to position it with my paper template a bit before going in the second time. Worked for me. Highly recommended!

It seems even some brand name sneakers are really thin and cheaply made in the top and toe area. After having a hole form I decided to protect that area and these work great. I don’t feel them in the shoes.

My toes always end up putting holes in the tops of running shoes. I have bought moleskin padding and cut pieces to make a patch for the top corner of shoes but this product is stiffer and so is a bit easier to apply. (Moleskin is very soft and floppy.) Also nice that it comes in colors. They ARE hard to apply, but anything placed up at the top of the shoe like that is going to be tricky. I've used these for years, maybe once or twice I had one end up losing its adhesion & coming off but they usually stay pretty well. I do think they stay better if you don't get the shoe wet, so keep that in mind. I also cut each patch in half as I only need the top corner above my big toe covered. So they are a bit pricey, but I get do 2 out of each patch. I always have these 'in stock' at my house.

These are great for patching up hole in shoes and preventing holes in the toe area in the first place. In the past I always ended up with my big toe poking out of the top mesh. These prevent this from happening. They stay in place well and I don’t feel them at all. You can also cut each patch in half and use it for two shoes. I wait a few hours after installing a patch before wearing the shoe so as not to move the adhesive too soon.

Had a typical half inch hole on the top toe of my shoe. I just use a piece of the patch cut to cover the hole. It went in easy enough with a little effort to stuff inside of shoe. It covered the hole, but the hole is still quite visible since the sticky adhesive on the part that adheres to the shoe is a clear white color. If someway the other side of the patch were showing it would be perfect, but I guess would not stick to the shoe. At least it won't be as noticeable as a white sock showing through. If they could some way make the sticky side the color of the reverse side, it would be next to invisible . But it is what it is. I'll see if it holds up in at least covering the hole. I guess there is really no perfect way to repair holes like this. Probably as good as any patch. Photo is after patch is applied inside shoe.

These are unexpectedly great. Easy to apply, they've held beautifully for the two weeks I've had them in and I dont even notice they're there. They've saved two of my favorite pairs of shoes.

They fit good in my shoes, and don't make them uncomfortable. My toe was starting to poke through the top of my shoes, and I put these on, and it mended the hole, and it's not making the hole bigger. They were a little hard to get in, and when I took them off the 1st day, my sock stuck to it. Performs how it is supposed to and are durable.

I have a problem, my toes always poke through my shoes, no matter how short my nails are cut. I can ruin a brand new pair of shoes within a month, but these have worked very well. Just peel and stick in the toe of a pair of shoes and it avoids the problem all together or stops and existing hole from expanding. I've used these in sneakers with mesh, and dressier suede shoes. Just open up the shoe, loosen the laces pull out the insole and slide these in and press firmly.

The patch sticks firmly inside the toe box. Excellent product and reasonable price.

Had to cut them to fit my sneakers but besides that they are great dont even feel them in my shoes the only reson not a five star is after like 6 months one came off

This product has saved me from replacing my shoes as often as they protect the toe area from getting holes. Work like a dream although not the easiest to install. You do need to remove laces and fiddle a bit to get them placed properly. Work like they should.

1. Adhesive side is WHITE and not black as shown in photos and noted by previous reviewers. 2. The material is NOT Cordura fabric as stated. It seems to be a faux leather of some sort. Better as a preventative measure rather than a fix unless you receive the proper black backside product to fix your black runners. I used a sharpie to darken the white showing through, but it’s still obvious with the shine from the marker.
