Love this resistance band
As a retired fitness director, I still teach classes and train clients. I discovered these new wave of resistance bands two years ago at a fitness convention. I loved them so much, I purchased around 50 of them for the health club I managed. A resistance band is a required piece of equipment in the Barre class I teach and this is the one I now recommend. The elasticized covering makes it much more comfortable and protects the band from cracking and breaking, elongating it's life so it's worth the extra cost.

Excellent quality! I feel so much safer using these!
These are top quality bands for exercise! I have been so impressed! What a gift to be able to work out and not be afraid of rubber bands snapping and hurting you. Worth every penny! I highly recommend!

Excellent product - well made - but harder than a medium from a different maker!
I bought this to replace my medium-strength resistance cord from Gaiam (they do not seem to carry them anymore). If you are doing the same, be aware that different companies have different ideas of the term "medium"! This cord is really well made - I believe it will last longer than my other model - and is pretty comfortable to use. But it is WAY harder than my gentle little Gaiam medium-strength cord! So much so that I had to order the "light" model (yellow), and even that is going to kick my butt! So I'll put this one aside for now and wait until I'm more buff!

Better with foam handles
My wife wanted to get some fitcord bands like she used at PT since the metal clips on our interchangeable set scrape against her arms when doing certain positions. I’ve also had the carabiner type clip pinch me and tear my skin between my thumb and forefinger when choking up to do band resistance planks or push-ups. Possibly using lifting gloves would solve that issue. The fitcord my wife used have fixed handles and no exposed metal. After looking at the prices I found it hard to justify for one single band that used only for only a few times per week. So I searched and found stroops slastix. The bands are nearly exactly the same as the fitcord at a somewhat lower cost. For some bands, it’s about $10 less, which is enough to warrant some comparison. I got the heavy-blue rated at 25lbs and it seems right for pull resistance. It feels about the same as our whatafit 30lb band. The whatafit is a good set at an attractive price, but the metal clips have pinched and scraped our hands or arms when chocking up to shorten the band or pressing overhead. These bands are easy to grip anywhere to shorten up and no exposed metal to rub on the hands or arms. Only issue is these come with both plain plastic or foam covered handles. I received a plain handle in error and it is not as comfortable for me since I have a trigger finger that gets stuck gripping the small diameter. The foam handle is a bit bigger diameter, easier and more comfortable to grip. My wife also prefers the foam grip. Our whatafit have comfortable foam covered handles and the fitcord my wife used had a foam covered handle, so it was easy to compare this plain handle. We just returned the plain and reordered the foam. Unfortunately there may be an item mismatch somewhere in the system and the solid plain plastic was sent again. Not sure how to make sure you can get the foam covered handles. I’ll just get some bike handle wrap to cushion these handles. We are seniors in our late 60s now and have setup a home gym. We workout 5-7 days per week so got into using bands to avoid needing a weight set. At our age, we get good resistance from 10-50 lb rated bands for a wide variety of strength training. These 25 lb bands cover the majority of our needs. For us, these are a bit too much to step on and push overhead even at being only 5’6” tall. Anyway with the stroops, the price and quality appear to be top notch. The strapping looks the same as on the fitcord, the outer diameter is slightly less and the fabric jacket over the cord is slightly narrower, maybe just a bit, but the pull resistance feels the same. I actually prefer the stroop. Based on initial impressions, I’d highly recommend trying them if you want to save some cash over fitcord and if you prefer to avoid the metal clips on interchangeable sets.

Great exercise band however I bought the both red and ...
Great exercise band however I bought the both red and yellow so I could figure out which would be best for me. Unfortunately, the seller does not cover the cost of returns. For those of you curious as to which color you should get the following weight scale came with the bands. I found this very helpful.Very Light (purple): 6 - 10lbsLight (yellow): 11-15lbsMedium (red): 16 - 20lbsHeavy (blue): 21 - 25lbsVery Heavy (green): 26 - 35lbsSuper Heavy (silver): 36 - 50lbsUltra Heavy (black): 51 - 77lbs.I ended up keeping the light (yellow) one. I'm 5'5" and 125lbs and workout moderately.

First band that I've really liked
I've always used alternative resistance to bands because I didn't like the feet of them, plus the possible injury in the case of breakage. This band is really well-made and convenient. It is a good place to start if you haven't been working out. If you're consistent, you'll progress to the red, but the yellow is great on days when you don't want to push too hard, or if you'd like to focus on endurance.

Green is infact purple
The item said it was green (extra heavy) but the picture was purple so we took a chance and ordered in hopes it was green or that they changed the extra heavy to purple but no. We received a purple that is very light.

Best Band Out There!!
Simply the Best! I have another color that is over 4 years old and it still works and feels like new. I teach fitness classes and I would recommend these for anyone PRO or Home User to have something that will last for years. Im 6-1 and workout with weights and all of the colors and resistance work perfect to feel like you did something. Women can try Yellow to Red and go up as needed. Men can try Blue to Grey bases on what your goal is. Amazing Quality and Product!!I bought few other colors so Im going to cut/paste my review for each.
