Best Pillow Ever, So Far!
For the past few years I have been using memory foam pillows and have found a few that I had really liked. However, they do in fact retain heat and will make my head sweat in warmer weather. Then, recently, I woke up with sever neck pain that has lasted for many weeks. I realized that my pillows clearly had something to do with this so I found this pillow and wanted to give it a try. Since I have had it, my neck pain has significantly improved and I have been sleeping better with this pillow. I love how it feels which is much different than memory foam and it does seam it will be cooler in the warmer weather which is around the corner. I laugh when I read reviews on how this pillow is too heavy....it is a bit heavier than a memory foam pillow but certainly not too heavy and I have no issues placing my hand underneath it when I sleep, unlike what some reviewers complained about. So comfort and support is excellent!! It is a bit thin, even with the removable insert it comes with so I do use a very thin pillow underneath to raise it up to my comfort level and it works perfectly. I only need a cheep thin pillow to achieve my desired pillow height. So it is expensive but I think worth it and would recommend to anyone having neck issues from their current pillow, especially if you are using memory foam like I had for years. I am very glad I got this!

This Purfect Pillow inspired me to spend $1000 on a Purple Mattress!
Honestly, the pillow is marvelous, but, Purple uses a material called hyper-elastic polymer, and it's a love it or hate it subject, so trying before buying is crucial! For me, I slept on this pillow less than a week, and knew I had to have a Purple mattress; it's that good! Extremely supportive, yet never too firm or too soft, and never painful. This material also sleeps very cool, and the hottest sleepers are never sweat drenched or tossing from hot spot to hot spot, my second reason for purchasing. The most important topic for pillows is comfort, and this one here is king! The pillow is well engineered, and 3" of hyper elastic polymer is what make's this pillow stand in a class of it's own! This material is the perfect blend of softness, support, breath-ability, and comfort, and you only find it in Purple. Underneath the 3" of hyper-elastic polymer is a cloth woven into the material. It seems out of place at first, until you realize how it helps the pillow stay in place, as well as help keep it's integrity. This pillow never needs to be flipped, or fluffed, and completely changes how you think about, or use, pillows. Oh, and it weighs 10 lbs. This seems like it would be completely unacceptable, but weight is hardly even noticed thanks to how this pillow revolutionized the whole world of pillows; no flipping, no fluffing, no hot spots. Adjust-ability is also great, as this pillow has two "boosters" that will effectively change the height or thickness. These boosters are made out of soft foam (polyurethane), with one being 1" thick, and the other being 0.5" thick. This is genius! Being able to adjust thickness and height for a perfect match to your body and mattress makes a massive difference! This allows a completely different and more typical material to be used for sleep, if you are a person that loves being able to mix things up in bed! Or a person that has very personalized preference, like me. From a $100 pillow, to a $1000 mattress, Purple has changed my world of sleep, and I will never sleep on anything but, given the chance. This company was born making orthopedic braces, so it's no wonder why Purple make a perfect pillow, and mattress! I sent their talalay latex version back, but this one's a keeper!

It's different.
The Purple Pillow is not what you'd expect in a pillow. For starters, it's heavy; nearly 12 pounds heavy. The gel foam used to make the pillow is also not rigid. This makes it floppy, like an old flat pillow. It also isn't a pillow that you are going to lean against a headboard to support your back if you want to sit up. It's too heavy for that, and it just flops over or slumps down. The weight also makes it awkward if your used to moving the pillow around in your sleep. I find I have to wake up more than normal to do it. I often push it into the headboard as I sleep, and it ends up slightly folded. So, I have to wake up, look at what I've done, get a solid grip due to the weight, and fix it. That all being said, it is comfortable to lay your head on. The cellular structure of the gel foam they use allows air to push thru and cool the gel down as you move around. Try pressing on it with your hand,, and you cal feel the air rushing through your fingers. This us very nice.. I am a hot sleeper, and this was a real treat for me. However, I had to take my pillow case off it, since the pillow case I use didn't allow enough air flow, and kills the cooling effect. It comes with a very breathable cover, and that works great - even if it doesn't match my bedding. All in all, I'm glad I bought it. Only time will tell about durability. Hopefully they last.

Firm yet soft, comfortable, stays cool, durable
I got this pillow in toward the end of 2021 for ~$100 at the recommendation of a friend, and it's been great. It stays cool and is incredibly comfortable while remaining firmly supportive. I'm a back, side, and stomach sleeper and it works for me in all positions. It's extremely durable, any other pillow I've had would've been tossed by now but it hasn't deformed and has remained exactly the same since I bought it. I think I recall it smelling like that weird rubber smell for a little bit when I first got it, but that went away pretty quick. It's extremely heavy, the weight is super nice if you're a tossing/turning sleeper (like I am) since it barely moves in your sleep. Minor downside is that it can be a pain when you're trying to change the sheets and pillow cases. Avoid using it as your primary in a pillow fight, unless you want to sprain your back or put your little cousin to sleep for the night. I see that it's now listed for $250, and for that price I can't recommend it. If you can find it for $150 or less and need a firmly supportive and softly comfy pillow, pick it up.

Best pillow I've ever had
Got mine around 3 years ago now, when it was like a $100 dollars not closer to $250?? Was worth it for the hundo but probably not at this price. In either case, it's seriously the best pillow I've ever had. It's firm, feels nice, and for the most part stays cool (as cool as a unventalated material surrounded by fabrics can be) and it's great. Took it with me on every road trip I ever went on and kept it in my lap durring the rides and the weight feels pretty nice. The only cons really are that if your a large person like me, 5'11 with wide shoulders, then the included pads are kinda thin. And they move around annoyingly! But I just stitched mine together so that solved the problem and made it immensely enjoyable and not sometimes annoying becuase you have to pull and prod to get them back to center. Also, never had the smell issue everyone was talking about when it initially came out so I guess they solved that and you don't have to worry about that. If you've got the cash I say go for it! Just don't forget to stitch the pads together(seriously just do it)

Not what I wanted
I have a purple seat cushion and backrest and love them. I should have read more before I purchased this very expensive pillow. It is too firm for my liking and now it sits in the closet unused.

Took a week to get used to it
I must admit - it took about a week to get used to this pillow. I’m used to pillows where your head sinks down into pillowy softness, but they weren’t supporting my neck. So every morning I woke up with neck pain. The gel shredded pillows would quickly develop lumps which would make it almost impossible to get comfortable. The memory foam pillows didn’t have enough softness to them to ever get comfortable. I was really beginning to feel like the Princess and the Pea. Out of desperation, I ordered this pillow. My initial reaction was dang it’s HEAVY! I’m used to moving the pillow around to find a comfortable spot. Wasn’t happening with this bad boy! It was super comfortable sleeping on my back - but I can only stay on my back for so long. I’m a side sleeper. So when I rolled onto my side, all I felt was the grid lines of the pillow against my cheek. But based on other reviews, I knew I would need to give it some time to get used to it. After about a week, I was no longer feeling the grid and was falling asleep much more quickly and waking up with less neck pain. I carry my stress in my neck muscles, so as the day goes on my neck hurts more and more. But at least now, when I sleep my neck can finally relax with the support this pillow provides. I toss and turn a lot less than I used to and log more sleep hours as a result. I highly recommend this pillow!

I would say not worth the absurd 200$+ price.
Sure it's kind of comfortable at first. I really wanted to like this pillow, but honestly for something that costs this absurd price (over 200$+) it should be the best pillow I've ever used, and it's not, I've had numerous nights where I wake up in the middle of the night with a pain in my neck because of the way the pillow is, I've tried both boosters, 1 booster, no booster and for whatever reason this pillow just isn't that comfortable after about a week it felt different and doesn't quite keep the same comfort as it originally did. It now gets super hard if I lay in a specific way (that tends to happen a lot at night while I'm asleep) but if I adjust and lay back to a perfect position I can fall back to sleep (which isn't how sleeping works most people do move at least a little at night). For something that's advertised as being the best pillow it really kinda isn't as comfortable as even a normal feather pillow, it probably maintains the same "level of comfort" for longer just because the material it's made of, but the initial comfort isn't better and might even be worse than some of the memory foam and traditional pillows I've used. So realistically the benefits of this pillow is likely just the length of time it can last at a lower comfort level, rather than being the most comfortable pillow it's more of just an okay pillow that stays okay for longer.

I hope you like mac and cheese, because you will be broke for a while lol!
***Origional Purple Pillow*** I bought two of these, one for me and one for my toddler. I ended up ordering two more a couple weeks later, in addition to their seat cushions. The video some lady made about comparing harmony vs origional was kinda lame, same as some of these reviews. one user complained that the zipper was annoying, lol. Thats because he/she loaded the pillow in upside down...: the zipper is not meant to rub against your face. And the pads in the video are NOT supposed to cover the grid, they go beneath. One reviewer really did not like how it hurt their ear. Thats probably because these pillows feel almost cold when used with just the included pillowcase. Try a warm pillow case, like the kind that comes with duvet covers. I get occasional earaches when i dive into a cold lake or am in cold and windy weather, so the cold effect can easily be negated. Although i really feel like i paid too much, just wait until the effects of the current political climate hit the "Northern Peso". In a couple years they will be priced out of reach for most people, if not already. So maybe im not a typical user of this pillow, because i can afford two for my bed, but heres my system: I sleep on a firm (Orange) King size temperpedic matress with a fixed bedframe. I use a Tempurpedic side to side pillow (they dont make these ones anymore) as base pillow, then on top i use just the purple grid thats 3 inches, in its own double wrapped pillow case. it stayes in place unless i move it on purpose. it is extremly nice to be able to pull the top 3 inch grid an inch (Into) the void of your neck when on your side. My other pillow is in a storage bin for now, but i took the two thicker pads, and stiched them together then tossed the thin ones. When i hand washed the mexican pads, the foam bunched up. Total junk. So don't buy this pillow for the accessories. The prize is really the purple grid only. Very customizable pillow, so fear not. Oh and the orange glasses i show on my pillow block blue light at night. Dont wear them while night driving because you might wake up in the ditch somewhere lol! They work too! Put them on 2 hours before normal bedtime. And yes they must be orange lens (deep amber)
