Cracks Under Pressure!
For those who are not fans of reading long, detailed reviews, just look at my enclosed photos and decide if this product is worth the risk...The attached photos #1-3 were taken on the FIRST DAY these arrived (as I was eager to transplant the intended recipients ). Notice the long, multiple cascades of cracking. Now, a week in, the cracks have increased in quantity and severity. (Clarification: In Photo #4, the planter with the most cracking damage is the 3rd one down.)Background & Use |I ordered these 2 Kante planters to use outside. The bigger one was used for a large Bird of Paradise (BoP) and the smaller for a short Pony Palm surrounded by assorted perennials. I also ordered 2 more of the bigger sized Kante containers (from another Amazon listing) to plant my other BoP’s.Immediately after planting the BoP, I heard the ominous “craaaaaack.” A few minutes later, another “craaaaack” and another.I understand that BoP’s are large plants. This is why I looked for a large planter that was described as having all the advantages of concrete such as “strength, durability, weather and damage resistance.” I was gentle with the containers and took care to not inflict damage during the transition from the nursery pot to the planter. Here’s the positive aspects: Aesthetics and cost.Aesthetics |The Kante planters are sleek, attractive, and really do look like concrete. I adore the color. From a distance, they appear to be high-end. (Hindsight LOL, LOL, LOL!!!) They project the modern, minimalistic vibe I was going for, since I prefer the focus to be on the foliage as opposed to the containers. The vast majority of planters on the market seem to emulate a traditional, ornate or Tuscan style.... Some are just downright gaudy. Not my thing. I was amazed to discover that none of the major retailers (including the smaller nurseries) in our huge metropolitan area offer anything like them.***On a side note: Why aren’t there more cool looking outdoor planters available???Cost |As far as cost effectiveness is concerned, the Kante collection was definitely the best priced I found for containers in this style/of these dimensions. Specifically, the price is about 40% less ones of similar appearance I found on Wayfair, West Elm and Cb2; and 50-60% less than the “commercial grade” planters I liked on Amazon. (There were also some good looking ones on Amazon that exceeded the $500 per planter range but I believe these are intended for true commercial use.)Would I Buy Them Again? (NO) |I really wish I would have just paid a little more for better quality. As the issue didn’t become apparent until after I planted the foliage, returning the planters for a refund is not an option. Transplanting the BoP’s this soon is out of the question. I’m not going to risk the health of my BoP’s over it. (I’ve been hand watering them with filtered water and dusting their leaves off every night to keep them alive over our insanely hot summer.) I’ll freaking duct-tape the cracking planters up and buy new containers come Springtime if necessary. Damn what my ‘Landscape Snob’ neighbors say.Informed Purchase Decision Summary |Get them if:-Cost is important to you-This is the only way you can afford this look, AND...-You plan to use them only for lightweight plants or flowersSkip them if:-Longevity of a planter is important to you (you want it to last for a long time)-You don’t want to restrict your selection to lightweight plants and flowers

Perfect weight, perfect look
I love these! They are the perfect weight and material. Heavy enough not to get blown over in a storm, light enough that when they aren’t filled with dirt they’re very easy to move around. They’re also deep enough that our plants have room to grow and we had room for a good amount of dirt. So far, I’m successfully growing everything from flowers to blackberries to Barbados cherry trees in these.Althogether I have ordered 6. Of those, 4 of them have been in perfect condition, one had a small chip, which we decided to ignore, and one came with a busted box with shards of the pot poking through. Am exchanging it and plan to order more because I do love them but I’m hoping for good condition.

Broken in multiple places. Virtually no padding in packaging
The media could not be loaded. Received this today looks great and the size is what I expected it's a nice color a bit on the darker slate gray then I expected.Unfortunately there is no bubble wrap or any kind of protective packing in the box and it came entirely busted with about 1/4 of it breaking loose into one big piece in my hand..It's a lightweight and rigid material so poor packaging makes this tricky to ship without plenty of padding for sure..Had to return for a refund and buy something locally That was $5 less and a few inches longer

Beautiful planter, great price, but fragile
I’ve purchased 4 units of the 31” x 15” x 15” Slate Gray planters. There is a hint of blue when the planters are in bright light. 2 of the planters arrived in perfect condition without cracks. The latest 2 planters came with large cracks near all of the corners. I decided to keep the items and repair the cracks with a gray caulk because the price was so low compared to alternative planters. These are great looking planters for a patio, but keep your expectations low on receiving a crack-free shipment.

The product is great, unfortunately the delivery service destroyed it!
This planter is very attractive. My issue was with the delivery. The planter & box it arrived in were both delivered severely damaged. I contacted Amazon to let them know that the product was crumbling & I was not interested in taking something that was falling apart, that is quite heavy to a drop off location. My other option was to box it up & have it picked up. Problem here was not only was the box severely damaged, it was also left in the rain & was unusable. It’s a large product & I’m seriously not interested in purchasing a box & wasting resources to ship something that is beyond repair. At this point, I ended my conversations with Amazon & chalked it up as a loss.

Looks great.
I used it to replant my artificial bamboo tree. I didn't like how the bamboo tree i bought was planted in a very small pot and the branches were so tight together. With it being so tall, it looked strange. I was looking for a large rectangle planter but most of what I found was very expensive. This was a very reasonable price. I broke about the cement on my bamboo tree. I painted this white with spray paint. This planter was pretty easy to paint. You should put multiple layers on but I ended up only using one can of spray paint. This is heavy enough so you don't need to weight it down. It turned out great.
