I bought this to go on a 55 gallon barrel shop stove. It's unbelievable how good it works. It's a must have. I did add a small spring on it to keep tention on it.

Great item for what it is intended for. Why I gave it 4 stars is that the manufacturing is slightly off...you need a file to fix the threads as they have zero quality control. The product I received was exactly how most have indicated...the threads were messed up so I had to take a file and fix them. This took me all of about 2-3 mins and was really just the starting of the threads. Also the closure was not aligned properly so I had to bend the welded top so that it actually had a flush close rather than about an 1/8th of an inch gap at the opposite end from the bolt. If you are building a smoker as this is intended to be used...you are more than capable of fixing their poor manufacturing.

Fits perfectly my self build UDS, came in earlier than expected and threads are well made. I recommend for anyone who is building a UDS with 2 3/8'' opening on top.
