My daughter loves reading this book for bedtime, it’s so cute and the illustrations are vividly bright.

This is a sweet, simple rhyming story, similar to Goodnight Moon, but set in Haiti. It is perfect for toddlers and older kids too. I love the incorporation of Haitian Creole words and the vibrant, whimsical illustrations.

Bonnwit Kabrit has become a favorite in our house. In college I focused my studies on child language acquisition and I'm always looking for fun books to introduce new languages. What I love about this book is that it's mostly in English and introduces some easy words using contextual clues in the text that have been simple enough for my toddler to pick up on. She loves to recite lines from the book, especially the bourik at the creek, "goodnight my child" and the mountains whispering "shh... not too loud."The combination of dreamy rhyming language and beautiful water color illustrations make this a perfect bedtime book. I love the way the images and the story flow together from page to page. Whether you're looking for a book to introduce new cultures, new languages or simply a good bedtime story, I am certain Bonwit Kabrit will become a favorite in your house as well.

The illustration is absolutely stunning! I want to give a big hug to all of the animals and play in the beautiful scenery.
