EZRED B7946 3-Point Mini Wire & Cable Crimper

I have had this cable crimper for nearly a year. It is rugged and will serve me for many years to come. ive used it on cable from 6 gauge to 0000 gauge. no complaints.I Lock it down in a bench vice and use a ratchet or in impact driver. works well either way. if i had to buy another one.. I would, but im sure this will last a lifetime.

There are other options, such as handle action crimpers. I have limited space in my portable toolbox so this was a good option for me. I highly recommend using this in a sturdy vise connected to a heavy bench.It's awkward to use without a vise to secure it in. I have to kneel down and hold a breaker bar to secure it while turning a ratchet...This tool should only really be used in a vise, but it's great and does a very controlled and perfect crimp.It also feels like one giant hunk of tool steel which is pretty cool.

It works absolutely great in a vise. It's a beast if you have a good bench vise. Trying to do this without one on the piece of equipment you are working on is tricky at best, but possible if you have a lot of patience. Better if you have a helper. I use this "offline" and it kills it crimping cables on my vise. No, it is not painted blue.

Works incredible with a small impact driver. Can reach into places you would never get a full handle or hydraulic crimper. makes an incredibly secure crimp as well. 6 star rating!

I plan to make a holder for this thing. Trying to hold a wrench in one hand to keep it from turning and a ratchet in the other you have no hands left to hold the wire and connector. But it works great once you get it ready. You control the amount of pressure unlike the giant set of crimpers that only close so far. You could put a socket on a battery driver if you needed the extra power. And it's nice and small if you need to take it with you for any reason. It's simple yet effective.
