We used this tarp for two weeks of backpacking in Alaska as a wind/rain shelter for the cooking area and it delivered beyond expectations. The tarp is quite lightweight and compact when packed, but sturdy enough to withstand the arctic winds and the occasional hailstorm. After two weeks of abuse, the seams were still intact. We were impressed.
