When I noticed my Nespresso machine was not flowing normally I searched for a solution. I decided to try the Caffenu product. It was easy to use and was effective. Now my machine flows normally when brewing and I feel confident I now have a way to keep it that way.

I love that this not only comes with the descaler but also something to clean the actual pod encasement. I have to admit though, when reading the instructions, I panicked a bit thinking I wouldn't be able to use it because it wants you to go back and forth between descaling the actual espresso part and a milk wand, if you have one, however our machine doesn't allow that capability (we have a nespresso lattisima). However, I just went ahead and ran a descaling cycle through the machine and it did just fine. Literal chunks of coffee build up were coming out of the espresso nozzle. When I ran the cleaning pod through, I did have to run probably two tanks of water to finally get clear water, so to me that means it did its job on our obviously dirty machine!

This kit was a God-send that saved my ailing Nespresso machine from the death throes of me not having descaled it in a year. Before I used it, the machine was making squealing, moaning, wheezing noises, the buttons were getting stuck and it was in Nespresso hospice. Figuring I'd destroyed it by not descaling, I had low expectations for my 11th hour resuscitation attempt. But to my surprise--after figuring out the instructions with a magnifying glass (probably why I'd avoided it for 2 weeks after purchasing) and overcoming my award-winning, razor's edge procrastination to dive into the 15 minute deep cleaning process--all of its "SAVE ME" ailing symptoms were gone and my machine is back to life, as good as new! No exaggeration. Facts. Excellent kit. Happy Nespresso family, once again.

Gents, have you ever been in a public restroom and heard a middle aged man walk in and start trying to relieve themselves and it’s immediately apparent they have prostate issues? The whole weak flow, sputter, start and stop routine? That was my nespresso machine. It wanted to brew my beautiful, rich espresso, but the flow was more of a sputter even on a good day.This kit entered the chat. I was skeptical. But after using the entire bottle of solution in the water reservoir and using one of the cleaning pods, followed by another 2 full reservoirs of fresh water after I cleaned out the reservoir with soap and water…we had flow! My espresso is now brewed with a renewed vigor not seen in years. Not since my nespresso machine was new has it sounded this healthy. I was initially thinking it would be a waste of money and a gimmick to even try this. I figured I’d just buy a new machine to avoid the headache. I can’t fathom waking up with feral young children without caffeine so I was ready to hit order. I think if I use this cleaning kit once every few months and make sure I use purified water only in the reservoir to reduce any scum build up, this 5 year old machine may still have life left to live after all. My wife threatened to leave me if she didn’t have a working nespresso machine so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for saving not only my nespresso machine, but my marriage.

I put the pod in the coffee chamber and closed the lid on my vertuo plus and it won't work. It blinks a red light like it doesn't recognize it. Is the pod too small for a plus? What am I doing wrong

It works all right ... IMHO the Nespresso descaler does a better job. The cleaning pods are convenient. The directions, though, are in such small print that it practically takes a magnifying glass to read them.

I have had my Nespresso for 5 years and I decided to try this product after someone mentioned it to me (I never heard before). I was planning to change my machine since the coffee flavor was too much acid and plastic, but after using this product all this was gone. The coffee flavor and foam come back to be original, I can keep using my machine.

I am lazy about cleaning my nespresso. It had been a year without descaling (oops) and I was worried the hard water build up wouldn’t come off. But this kit fixed it!It was easy to use: simply empty into the water tank, fill it up, and run the water through a few times with some waiting breaks in between. I collected the output from the machine and used it to soak the removable parts, and those came clean too! I also dipped a rag in the solution and wiped anywhere else with buildup that hadn’t already cleaned.After descaling I did one of the cleaning capsules and the machine looks like new. I live in an area with really hard water and this kit was up to the job. I’ll definitely purchase again.
