Lola at the Library with Mommy (Lola Reads)

My 3yr old loves this book. It tells of Lola going to the library, returning books and her mother also borrowing books. My girl is a natural reader so she loves books and going to the library. She also likes that the little girl looks like her. It's wonderful for kids to illustrations that look like them also when they read. Great book !

Story of Lola and her mummy is a very pleasant little journey full of lots of familiar things to recognise. The illustrations are lovely, and end with a nice bedtime story scene, perfect for settling down after a busy day

Nice to read books to kids that they can see themselves physically in the story. Good book for black kids.

After the birth certificate and social security card, the next document of importance for me is a library card. Both my sons received theirs by the age of 2 and prayerfully, I will be able to get one for my granddaughter by the time she turns 2.My granddaughter and I enjoyed the book and lovely pictures. The story was not just about the library but more about parents spending quality time with their children and just how much that means to our children.

this book is so absolutely adoring! Mike 2.5-year-old loves to read it over and over again, and demand his own library card now ! The story as well written, very realistic anti-illustrations are super cute ! I can recommend this book Hailee to every child that has a loft for books and reading

My toddler just loves this book! It helped us establish a library visit ritual too! The text is good and the drawings are very cute!and the protagonist is an afro-american girl: Hooray for that!
